Thread: Cylon Raider | Forum: Carrara
Does it seat One or Two? I want to go flying in that thing. :)
Excellent work. 3D Modeling is something that eludes me, in Carrara or any other application.

I might have a solution for you. Sometimes when we uninstall software on a Windows Machine there are components and pointers in whats called the regsitry that stick and point to files that are no longer there and cause issues.
One of the tools I use in my arsenal is CCLeaner
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Download the free version and Run the Registry cleaner it will on the left side of the program under its own tab.
It will ask you if you would like to do a backup of the registry changes before fixing the problems. Say Yes and save the file somewhere incase something goes wrong.
Scan for errors a couple of times, till you no longer see any errors.
Then try to reinstall 7 and let us know if this trick worked.

While on the subject of AntiVirus I recommend AVG and Avast both have free versions that work great. Microsofts Security Essentials is coming along fine and does a good job as well.

I was wondering where he went. The last image I remember was for some ice castle and he also work on the art project with the animated loop of zooming from one art peice to another.
Thread: OT - WARNING! Do NOT Proceed whilst Drinking.............. | Forum: Bryce
That had me laughing very hard!!! I would never use that type of product in those specific areas, especialy after one time I use this body wash that was supposed to be invigorating with mint or something. As the water flowed got some in those sensitive areas and the burning was not fun.
Thread: Cores and Bryce7Pro? | Forum: Bryce
Quote - I ould be interested to see those. I had planned to see the diference with mine, but forgot, with all the trying and re-trying to get things going.
Yeah I'm interested to see how things turn out this time, the Core 2 Duo machines also have 2GB of ram each better than the 512mb Hyper Threading Pentium 4's.
The thread I'm refering to here here: Its called Redner Farm 2.0
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2791652
Scroll down to the second last post and you will see the poor results. 6 CPU's were taking Minute and a half to render the scene vs a Core i5 Mac which was doing it in 41 seconds.
Also I cant believe its been 2 years since I last posted that thread. Yikes!!

I will be posting some render speed results in a couple of weeks.
For months ago I replaced my Graphics/Audio production machine and just last week I picked up another machine to replace the one I use for gaming/websurfing etc.
So I have
1 x Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.5G0GHZ
1 x AMD A8-3870K Quad Core 3.0GHZ
3 x Core 2 Duo's and possibly a 4th unit.
I'm going to dig up my older render test threads and see what percentage of a boost I get with this hardware vs the Pentium 3 and 4's I was using before.
Thread: Raspberries and Bryce7Pro? | Forum: Bryce
Bit late to the thread, but yea Raspbery Pi will make for a good Media Center type of PC. Which is what I Plan to use it for.
I've been playing with Pentium 3 and Pentium 4's for render farms you can look up my posts here.
And 6 older computers couldnt keep up with a single Core i7 Processor... I dont know if that comes down to inefficient network rendering in Bryce or a Core i7 is that good.
My latest test will be using a AMD Quad Core Processor + 3 or 4 Core 2 Duo PC's as nodes and see how that renders.
