Actually maybe it’s my older eyes but I can’t tell G8,G8.1 and now G9 figures. The G8.1 figures all are being to look the same. Same body shapes, face shapes, textures I haven’t found a a character I like. I tend to go for the characters with slight imperfections, not a super model body and maybe a bit more mature. I liked Sydney 8, I’ve got done from isourceTextures because of the imperfections in the skin, Adam Thwaits (I know I missed spelled his name) again some of his characters have small imperfections, I have two from KrashWerks they are somewhat more mature and I have two on the wishlist here. Most I find the textures too smooth and porcelain like, some makeup options have strange colors schemes and applied funny and some have eye colours I’ve never seen before and these are not Fantasy figures.

 I wasn’t using DS when the Genesis figure was released so I can’t join in the excitement over G9. I most likely will not purchase this figure. I never updated to 4.20 because I still see too many complaints about the software after all this time. The PC I built has served me well I never do scenes with more then two G8 figures. If I do by chance want  to upgrade my graphics cards and more memory I have more then enough to do so. But I just can’t bring myself to do so for a hobby. 

Maybe G9 will be a wonderful figure for those that do professional work but not for a hobbyist like me. If Daz is creating content that requires a super computer the hardware cost will put it out of reach for the average hobbyist. I watched this happen with Vue (which I loved) the software just became too pricey.

Yes I am subscribed to the newsletter I tried to use the coupon at check out . Maybe that item wasn’t eligible. I wouldn’t know since there wasn’t a message stating it didn’t work.

I installed the upgrade today from poser 11 and noticed that it's now Bondware Poser Pro. It use to be just poser 11 does this mean I now have the means to render using my GPU?

Yup poser is up to date. Now that you mention it my internet connection was down I don’t know if that was the issue but I’m sure I’ve used poser offline.

I’m sorry poser 11. Even when I’m in low light the eyes are still very reflective.

Actually my card is compatible it’s Nivida GTX1060 6Gb it meets the requirements. However, after a bit more investigation I found that Poser 11 can’t render using the card’s GPU. GPU rendering is only available with poser pro 11. I didn’t realize that when I upgraded. Oh well I’ll just have to save my pennies for the next step up to poser pro 11. But I do like the SuperFly rendering. I have a six core CPU and a lot of ram so I’m happy with the results.

I use Vue infinite as well and that program can use as many cores you can give it. Vue sees my CPU as 12 CPUs.

I can render using Iray in Daz Studio using the card’s GPU. But part of me wishes I was aware that the base poser 11 could not take advantage of GPU rendering,

Hi It's been a long time since I've been here or doing any 3d work at all since my machine died. I just built a new Intel i7 six core. I want to install vue 9, never found the need to upgrade, but have found recently that something happened to the Eon site. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the activation code for me to install vue? Is there someone I can contact. Can I email support with my serial number? Any help would be great. I never received an email from Eon about the hack so really don't know what to do. Thanks

I like Dawn a lot however, the lack of a morph ++ pack and content has slowed me down. It would be great to see a Dawn 2.0 as I feel the figure has huge potential hivewire now needs to unlock it.

As far as any gulf jumping I get the feeling that poser users are like old people too set in their ways. Anything new is bad and disturbs the force cuz it ain't like the old days. Or like indigenous people fearful of a camera because their souls will be trapped in a "box" if a picture is snapped. Then of course the old no matter what comes out it ain't good enough, "I'd complain if they hung me with a new rope" sort of thing.

For now though V4 is queen of my runtimes because she works in Poser where as one needs to jump through hoops to get Genesis even close and watching SM and Daz throw tantrums like members of our Congress. Jumping through hoops is something I like to see cute little dogs do at the circus not in my 3D app. I want to enjoy my 3D sessions not hate them or not have fun with them. I used to be like many poserites taking things way too serious posting on forums about how my ulcer is kicking up or I am loosing sleep over the latest 3D chick in town or app. We get what we get from the creators as it seems they know what is good for us. :)
