Thread: Need some feedback on a WIP plz | Forum: Bryce
Excellent layout, very nice so far. I think the mats on the toilet and counter could be better. This would look nice with a radial dome, but of course that'd take forever to render.

You can just make your own folders and put your models, mats, skies etc. in em. For example, I made folders called Models1, Models2, and I put everything in there.

Thread: Too much freebies | Forum: Bryce
I disagree too. Normally I use lots of freebies, especially models. I've bought some too. I rarely model because I don't like to and I'm no good at it. As for Poser models, I almost always morph them myself. To not vote for an image because the models were imported and free, even if the image itself is worthy of a vote, is sad.
Thread: Trees? | Forum: Bryce
Xfrog seems to be good for that, from what I've seen. Meski (3dcommune.com) has made some killer trees with Tree Druid.

1024x768 here too. Images look much better in this resolution. Besides, Renderosity is optimized for 1024x768.
Thread: Bryce Logic: Imports, Post Work and True Bryce Images | Forum: Bryce
Imagine going to an art gallery where all the prints were done with Bryce. Do you think the non-Bryce folks (people who never even heard of Bryce) would give a sh*t if the image was postworked, or models imported? Nope! All they'd be concerned with was whether or not they liked the image. Of course, get some Brycers in there and it would be chaos...
Thread: WIP ... suggestions requested | Forum: Bryce
Sometimes when you get stuck on something, it's good to come back to it the next day, especially if you feel you're forcing your creativity. As for a focus of the image, that's a tough one. I find that's the hardest part of an image, finding what to focus on. Your pic looks good so far though. How about a few mountians in the distance? Or maybe make those trees tower over the castle. Just some suggestions. Good luck :-) Doug

Shonner: I disagree completely. "End of story." Uh, no. With that logic, Rochr, Alvin and Hobbit aren't creating art, they are just following a procedure. If you're doing a TON of postwork, maybe your image should be in the Mixed Medium Gallery (in fact, I posted one there last night). But to not call it art is ridiculous IMHO. As far as I'm concerned, it's the final image that matters. Ricky: "Bryce is a tool, not a religion." I like that quote :-) And yes, I know you always have to look at the source. It still irks me though LOL... Ardiva: Some people just seem to have something against Bryce. I didn't even know that site existed. Looks like I won't be posting there!
