Thanks guys, I will go check out both the Legacy UVs for G3 and D3D's converters. I take it by the skin, you mean the textures? I am not too attached to those, I am sure there are plenty of G3 skins that are great.

My Poser runtimes have been carefully managed over many years of use and I find that I can find stuff quickly in them.
exactly, but what I am after is a way of transposing my character's faces from V4 to G3, to make them a bit more 'future proof'.

If the figure is morphed right-click and select Transfer Active Morphs.
I never knew about that one. Might have saved me a lot of trouble in the past
Right click V4.2? or the clothing? Anyway - I started by trying the scene afresh, with just the V4.3 figure loaded, then just adding the panties to the scene. It has loaded onto the V4.2 figure pretty well. But It still needs some king of adjustment to get it flush to the figure (which is a custom morph). I can't see to make any difference by right clicking and "Transferring Active Morphs" though. Looks OK, but I had to use the Panty figure's own 'adjustment' morphs to get a reasonable fit. Can't I somehow transfer the features of the V4.2 figure to the Panty figure, so that Wherever I pose her, her panties follow, without need for adjustment?

Hi both, yeah - I tried both these methods, but still no joy. I wondered if there was an important Daz-only step that I was missing out on?

Thanks Roboman - I guess I kinda thought that to be the case, after a little reading, but thought it was worth asking - you don't know the "unknown unknowns", as Donald Rumsfeld said... thanks for the reply anyway. Razor42 - I am guessing that is part of the Daz 4.9 beta setup? Looks promising (though I can't figure out how they will do it - will they need to have every piece of DS content, including third-party stuff installed on their render farms? or is that why the whole 'Cloud content' thing is coming in?

Well - He wrote the original book in 1906 - so I am not sure about that?
Anyway - how many close matches to more recent stuff have we seen? Lots of Sci-fi stuff that bears a close resemblance to people and clothing, transport etc... from Star Trek, Star Wars, Alien(s), GoT, etc... is available, and not all as freebies!

Quote - Wasn't that one of WERTS's morphs for V4?Ā - his morphs are no longer distributed I believe.

No - but surely someone must have it in their library somewhere, and wouldn't mind sending it to me?

Yes, I did the pose first, then conform thing, but not much improvement. I will have a look for the properties thing you mention. Thanks again Superman!

OK - I am still a 'Newbie' in ability, if not chronologically speaking, so my question is this: I have got the wonderful conforming 'Panties for Beauty' by Arrin. I load them and conform them, then magnetise them to V4 and they look greatĀ and fit well. However, if I sit, bend, or crouch V4, her waist/hips get wider, naturally, and we have poke through.
Now I know I could sit for ages messing aroung with the morohing tool and twiddling dials on the panties, but with the fitting room (I am running Poser Pro 2014) is there some way I save the panties as a new figure and somehow inject relevant morphs from V4 during the saving process, thus enabling them to truly 'conform' throughout V4's range of movement?
I tried doing the 'autofit' thing with them yesterday, but it made the panties grow into some sort of ill-fitting, oversized bellywarmer, even with the range turned right down to .0020.

OH - hang on - it was because I was attempting to import head and neck into head only. I have solved this by exporting the head only, and it works, except that her eyes and upper/lowwer teeth are too high. I will try exporting them too, though I can't see any option to transform eyes on the Y axis, so I am not sure how they got where they are now?
Ā
EDIT: tried it, it didn't work, because I can't select the eyes, teeth etc along with the head before inporting the OBJ as a morph target (unless there is some way youĀ can tell me about?) So - I will export the morph targets for head, eyes, teeth seperately and see if that works...

OK - I followed the pixelnook tutorial, thanks Wanda, loaded carmelĀ up, eported her head and neckĀ but when I attempt to load morph target it says I have the wrong number of vertices. I haven't tampered with it between exporting and loading back in, but I may have tinkered in the past with wings3d or zbrush.
