By the way, did anybody test the GPU render on Vue (I don't have such card)....I wonder how thousands of CUDA cores could deal with Vue compositions, everything "on", lol.
Thread: Seeing as Vue is now free... | Forum: Vue
I'm late here, only today I saw that they released it for free...I was just a casual user with a few renders, but I've seen Vue from the beginning...I have some nostalgic feelings now.
I stopped using Vue due to unbearable render times and many crashes.
Also a few days ago I've seen on YT a charmy little builder app, "Tiny Glade", (a brilliant diorama castle builder thing) with a real-time render engine, with always animated basic landscape...think if Vue could have developed in that direction. It seems that there are new developers popping up with similar ideas but with better implementations...it would be fun, for example, if Tiny Glade could be developed into a Vue-like landscaping program.
On the other hand, I also messed around with A.I. landscaping, NOW we have a "Make nice landscape" button, hehe, I could "make" images that was almost impossible in Vue eller Bryce, that was a crazy journey with the PromeAI. Still, on some level it makes me sad that it's over for Vue, despite it didn't like my computer, lol. Will grab what's left of it, see if they work on my old PC.
Thread: Not much happening here! | Forum: Bryce
People will be back...when they understand what a non-fungible token is...they'll be rendering in Bryce like crazy! :-))
Someone stole one of my images (I contacted OpenSea)...people there sell all kind of CG stuff, most of them are pure junk hehe (I got sick of dogs/animals with mustache)...but if someone is talented then it could work...although it's pretty hard to set up a chain of accounts, at least 3. Mabe you read about the guy called "Beeple", he sold all his digital renderings for 67 miljon dollars, but he is a RenderGod, lol....he rendered every day (in Cinema4D) for 13 years!

Somehow the brilliant Brycers inspired me to make real steampunk-ish assemblage work. I was more active between 2002-2010, now I mostly post images of my assemblage art work. I adore the genius Bryce master Kano, he inspired me a lot but I couldn't come close to his amazing compositions, I still remember all his stuff, he really showed how one could make wonderfully crazy renderings in Bryce.
I was thinking... if I had a 3D printer I could compose images in Bryce with nurnies and then save everything as .obj files, then export it to Cura (or something, lol) and print it out for further treatment. Darn, it so hard to go back rendering virtual objects, hehe.
Thread: Gallery Updates | Forum: Community Center
Puhh, this is the first time I see this and I'm almost shocked how bad it looks like. You mended that was working just fine, I immediately abhored the large "thumb" images, it's a total mess....why o why? Also, I wanted to upload something, it complained that tmy thumb is just too small, so everything I typed on the upload page disappeared. It's a total mess and it doesn't look nice as it was before.
Thread: What will Vue 12 Infinite Have? | Forum: Vue
It'll have GPU rendering, why not use those thousand of graphic cores? lol
Or real time rendering like in computer games. (like Crysis-Sandbox, for example)
Crysis Sandbox vill render everything in real time, like nice water waves, wind etc. so I'm looking forward that Vue implements such a render environment...at least for preview rendering!

Thread: Asking Vue experts: How to make wires/cables in Vue? (or other software) | Forum: Vue
Many thanks JCD; I downloaded the cables and will use them.
I also tested Modo and indeed it's a great programme, I could make a cable in a few seconds...just wish Vue had a similar plug-in.
Thanks again!
Thread: Asking Vue experts: How to make wires/cables in Vue? (or other software) | Forum: Vue
Quote - That is one area where Vue is lacking an in-program solution. You can make them from lots of little cylinders, but that's a bit of a PITA and not exactly very efficient. That said, I've made most all of mine in Modo as it's pretty quick and easy to whip up some cable forms and then export them as .obj files.
At one point I had a freebie set of cables as ready to use .vob files - not that it helps you make them, but I can dig those up if there is any interest :)
Thanks JCD...I would like to take a look at those cables you got and will check out Modo.

Hi clay! I was always inspired by your earlier Bryce works; thanks for your contribution to the Brycers! :-)
