So, apparently I am no longer able to add items to my cart. Every time I do, I get a nice little pop-up that say, "Renderosity says undefined".
Thread: Checkout Trojan? | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
This looks suspicious: https://www.renderosity.com/library/src/AWS/Logs/old/jquery.js
Why would jquery be hanging around in the Logs/old directory? I wonder if that was the compromise they were referring to? I made a couple of purchases during that time and begrudgingly asked my CC company to create me a new number, which means a lot of hassle when things I forgot to switch over start breaking...Seriously going to have to rethink how to purchase from the vendors I like that sell only here:( Probably try the paypal thing some of folks in another thread are happy with. I guess the CC option there isn't any worse than any other CC option.

It worked. Thanks for passing this on to whomever.
But, I must say, the frequent programming errors give me serious concern about the professionalism for whomever is responsible for this website. I transmit credit card information through software these people are responsible for and if they can't make simple checks like "Can they actually see the blog post that this page serves" or "Let me check that I didn't accidentally prevent Visa and MasterCard from appearing in the list of available credit cards", then what sort other errors are hiding behind the scenes? Is my transaction still properly conducted or did they accidentally mess that up with a different edit? Hard to say. But, the more of these goof ups we see, the more and more concerned I become and so should everyone else.
Last week my creditcard company gave me a warning that creditcard data was stolen from renderosity, i did get a new card but i'm really concerned about the safety at renderosity.
What sort of card tells you who was responsible for a stolen card #? Was it one of those that generates a unique card number for each purchase?

I don't think it's a matter of Visa/Mastercard being hacked, but websites (or actual locations that accept them) are being hacked. Target, Home Depot, etc were all at fault, not the actual card companies themselves. I have no idea if the links to purchase via PayPal are more secure or not, but I highly doubt it. If someone screws up here at renderosity, then it's probably just as likely to affect any of them.
PayPal is NOT a bank. So, it's quite possible that they aren't required to go to as much trouble to protect you as the people that issue Visa and MasterCards. If there are disputed charges on a Visa card, you are legally protected against having to pay them (though, you may have to hassle with the bank to work it out). There are no guarantees that PayPal will honor your dispute, and I don't think there are any laws requiring them to do so.

Thread: Market Place Blog(?) Posts don't show body | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
FWIW, I did try opening these in Chrome (my default browser), Firefox and Safari. All showed the same thing. I am on a mac, but that shouldn't matter, unless your devs are shooting for some Windows only browser.
Thread: I bought the same thing twice:( | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
To prove I'm probably the dumbest person to ever make a purchase at Renderosity...it was on the same order! I'll message the product names and order number.
Thread: Why the recent SPAM? | Forum: Community Center
The most recent has the subject: EXCLUSIVE PARTNER OFFER: Create Beautiful Computer Generated Art Now with 50% OFF
It's reply to address is Special Renderosity Partner Offer newsletter@postoffice.renderosity.com
this is just the most recent. I'd say at least 1 of these each week for the last couple of weeks. It could be that they aren't really regular, but I know I've received a handful over the last few months.
Thread: Grab Bag Freebie addon for something I don't own? | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
The ID is 111725. When looking through their catalog, the artist did provide links to items released immediately before and after, so it was probably just an oversight.
Thread: Obtaining a compatible version for Daz Studio | Forum: Virtual World Dynamics
So, poser will not be required for the DS version? That should make it more stable, since both applications are diverging more and more as time goes on. Looking forward to word from VWD. I'm hoping a Mac version is available sooner than later, since...well...I would really like to use this:)

Is this a windows only product or will it run fine on Mac? Does it matter which version of Poser we use, if there is only a DS bridge (maybe I missed something, but the impression I got was that there is no true DAZ version at this time).
VWD Cloth and hair is a standalone program that come with an inbuilt bridge to Poser. Carrara bridge is already on sale, Studio Bridge will be soon (after review by Rendo Q&A). Mac version is right now under study.
What do you mean, under study? Is it in the development or investigation phase? (as in, you haven't gotten far enough to have a good idea of feasibility or release date or is it actually under development?) As for the studio bridge, will it depend on poser or do you basically mean that the WD functions as a library that runs independently of any of these tools and the bridges are native plugins for the various apps that can make direct calls to the WD library?
I'm a C++ developer who uses Mac (though, I don't use Xcode, just make files). If you need a beta tester for Mac or have questions, I'd be happy to help in any way I can. I have to say, the switch over to LLVM has forced me to switch to use linux VM for certain development that depends on some libraries that weren't available to the LLVM compiler when I started the project. That may have changed by now...haven't really bothered to find out;)
