I put a _ in front of the file name. That way, if you ever wanted it back (I never did), you can just remove the _ and the little guy comes back. Melanie :)

When P5 was first released, there was a big to-do about it containing spyware. One of the reasons I refused to buy it. Curious Labs claimed it was just for marketing purposes, but there were a lot of complaints about it. Melanie

Looks pretty good, from what little I've seen so far. I never bought P5 because of various issues. If P6 comes with all the glitches and the other problems that P5 came with (license problems, spyware, etc.), I'm not touching it with a 10-foot pole. I don't mean to seem cynical, but P5 really irked me to the point of losing interest in it. I'm wondering who got to beta test P6. Just curious. I've been out of the loop for a while and I'm not up to date on what's been going on much with Poser. I wonder if they had only exclusive beta testers of folks they cosider "elites" as they did last time. Melanie

You might be able to make a cross with the primitives that come in Poser. Two cubes elongated and pieced together. However, randym77 is correct, only the horizontal part of the cross was carried. Also, if you want realism in a crucifixion scene, when a person was nailed to the cross, the nails were most likely pierced through the wrist, not the plams of the hands, as the soft tissue would tear through by the weight of the body. The wrist has bone that would prevent the torn tissue. Your project sounds great. I hope you'll share the results. It will be perfect for Easter. Melanie

And there's no reason to be afraid of DAZ. They're totally secure, totally legit, they've been in business for years and are the most trustworthy on-line 3D store there is. I have well over 100 purchases there and have never had a problem. I'm also a Platinum Club member. They don't sell your info to other places, so you don't get spammed. Their customer service is the best there is and they're easy to deal with. They were a spin-off from Zygote and have become an independent company. You can't go wrong with them.
As you can see, I'm a big fan of DAZ! :) And no, I don't work for them. I'm just a very satisfied customer. Oh, and DAZ is the only place you can get any of the Millennium figures (Vicki, Michael, etc.) because they created them.

Thread: V3 Free - No Email? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I never wait for the e-mail to download. I always go directly to my account and it's immediately in there. By the way, does anyone know what the rebate vouchers are good on? DAZ says: "Vouchers good on non-resell, non-Platinum Club priced purchases." Does this mean only DAZ originals, or is it good on everything except Platinum Club? The newsletter wasn't really very clear on that. What is the definition of "non-resell" purchases? Can this also include brokered items? Melanie

I forgot to give my best and worst. Hmm, let me see.
Best would be David. He's adorable!
Worst, well, I think I was most disappointed in the Big Cats, especially the lion morph, which is why I didn't buy. His mane looked like he was wearing a bad wig.
Other than that, DAZ turns out unbeliveably great stuff!
I just can't understand why the Young Teens were named after soap opera characters. Luke and Laura were characters on General Hospital for years (Anthony Geary and Jeannie Francis). In fact, I think Luke is still on the show. Sort of weird choice of names. I guess someone is a soap fan. But the Young Teen figures are cute.

Wolf359 said: "David will never get any real content support as the poser world just did not need another male figure." Not in my opinion. I was hoping for more male figures. There's a plethora of female characters out there, but some of us ladies would like to see more males to choose from. Melanie

Vue also imports .pz3 files effortlessly. No tweaking necessary and textures fall right into place, including transparency. DAZ is revamping Bryce to do that, from what I understand, but it's not out yet. Melanie
Thread: Is it really necessary to buy V3, Freak, Michael3, S3, etc... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Arrrggghhh!!! Don't you just hate it when you write a nice long explanation about something and when you hit Post, it goes nowhere?! Shoot, now I have to try to remember what I wrote.
Ironbear, I worded it wrong before. What I meant was that the Millennium figures were scanned from live human models, while Posette/Dork, etc. were not, which is why the Millennium figures are so much more realistic, in fact the head was scanned from Dan Farr's own face. What I meant by modeled by hand was that they were created in a modeling program, not scanned from live human models. There had been a photo of the male model who posed for the body of Michael, over at DAZ at one time, when there was a history of how Michael was made. I did already know that Zygote made the original Posette and Dork. I believe RDNA had some hand in Judy/Don, etc., which is probably why they support it so heavily.
I've been using Poser since the mid to late 1990's, coming in on Poser 2, so I've seen the leaps and bounds of improvements to the figures since then. The P2 figures didn't even have lifelike faces at all. You had to paint faces on them in a paint program to make them look like anything. Poser 3 was a major improvement! Michael and Victoria were started at Zygote, then continued when DAZ spun off from there.
I hope I got in all I had tried to say before my post vanished into cybervoid. LOL
