I don't think I ever do anything the easy way..:) And keep the input coming. Thanks. For anybody else that might be following this. The outcome of this pic is not important. This is simply a way to learn what the techniqne does before you attempt something more creative.. You can try the bird as the top layer or bottom layer to see the difference. Just play around with it until you get an idea what it does. Feel free to ask questions. I will try to answer them and if I can't I'm sure somebody will.. Good Luck

Ok 3DGuy.. You got me curious now.. I see two places that I could have improved on, but like I said I never took this piece too seriously anyway. But your refering to the metal on the left and I'm not seeing it. Doesn't mean it's not there. Just means I'm not seeing it ..:) I feel your pain about the no replies. I'm at a point where I copy first before I post so I don't have to retype..

3DGuy.. It could probably could use a little tweaking. Like I said it wasn't meant to be a masterpiece. It's only purpose here is to show anybody who would like to know the technique a simple example. I don't think I could post an easier example then this.. And in all fairness if I'm looking at the same leaf that you are, would you have seen it if you had not seen the before pic and leaving that out might have been intentional. This is simply a reply to your comment and not meant to sound harsh. But thanks anyway...

Thread: Question with lighting | Forum: Photography
Thanks for the links. Joe.. When I first got my Coolpix 995 a few years ago the the manual was simply overwhelming. With all the buttons and menu's. At the time I only used it for trips and family stuff so I looked for general settings that I could easily live with.. It's only been about a year and a half since I started to really enjoy taking photos.. During that time I've been trying to get better with Photoshop and a few other programs so I guess I was still using basic setting that would just let me concentrate on my shot.. Too much to learn and not enough time.. I think I'll go find that swan and spend the day just getting more familir with the camera.. Thanks Again

Sheila.. I recieved that same email yesterday ( Hello there; I am not an artist but I love artwork. I use PSP and Incredimail to create email stationary. Usually backgrounds and framed art images. I make no money from doing it. I always get permission before I use art. I add a copyright to the artist and a link to wherever they wish. Would you consider your art being used in this way? Thanks for your time. By the way I found your work on Renderosity :) Also I would be happy to send you an example of what I am talking about. And you can check out the Incredimail program here www.incredimail.com Sincerely; Becky My email silversangels1@msn.com) Not even worth a response in my book.
