DOH!!! Dammit! Is that it? One of the things that worked for me in my tests was using a Diffuse node but only if Normals_Forward was checked on it. I hadn't even noticed the root node had a Normals_Forward. So what is Normals_Forward anyway?

Was the "EZSun not found" issue ever resolved because I'm having the same problem?

I apologize for not being more attentive to this thread that I started. I guess I'm not being notified when someone responds. Everybody's been trying to be helpful and I've been AWOL. I think EnglishBob has it figured out. It's a nice bed but not worth the trouble.

And I found this from an old post by BB: "For any "image" that is actually data, not a picture you look at, you need to make sure it doesn't get modified by the GC system."
So for transparencies, bump and displacement maps set GC to 1.

Ohhhhh! I've always wondered why all those skin textures had that blue tint added to the diffuse color. Yep, that pretty much did it.
So before you check that little Gamma Correction box on the Render Properties you should be aware that:

Thread: Simulations don't work in Poser Pro11...... :( | Forum: Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical
I contacted SM about this and it's a known problem. The workaround is to do a "Save As..." before running the sim, and it should work fine. You don't have to keep doing "Save As..." every time. The problem, I suppose, has to do with having the sim write to a nonexistent file.

I have had serious cloth room issues after the latest update - the cloth sim has stopped working. After completing the simulation, (I am watching during the simulation to make sure it works fine), the screen will flash quickly and the simulation resets as if it has never happened.
I was having that problem as well and contacted SM support. This is a known problem. The workaround for the moment is to do as Save As... before running the sim. Once you have the file saved the sims work OK.

Forgive me for playing junior moderator here, but it's very helpful to everyone to give your thread meaningful titles. "Question" tells us nothing. This applies to this and all forums.

I contacted SM support and this is apparently a known problem. The workaround is to do a Save As... before running the sim. I had noticed that my old sims worked, so this makes sense.

Well, it couldn't be simpler. Ultimately it came down to a single dynamic piece colliding with the ground and I accepted all the defaults. It all still works in P10, so I have to believe this is a P11 issue. I'll submit a report to SM.

Updates are good: Poser 11.0.5.32974.
I've tried going back to a previous frame, but they are all reset to the default position.

" increase the collision offset and collision offset ..."
The same thing or it's a mistake ?
Collision offset and collision depth, I'm sure.
Also you might try _smoothing _the items with the morphing tool. Actually your clothes are pretty smooth already, but if they come out like Boni's, a little smoothing would help.

Thread: PMDs: Are they still a problem (and what's the benefit, anyway)? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This thread was triggered when I decided to take another look at DAZ and tried to import a couple of figures. One was just a CR2 and the other was a CR2 + PMD. The one with the PMD had problems loading into DAZ. That's what got me to thinking about PMDs. It could be that the PMD problems have been worked out for Poser but not DAZ, but it could also be that the problems I ran into were completely unrelated to PMDs.
I'm still not clear on the benefits of PMDs, and I hope someone can give me an answer that makes sense to me.

Now if you added 10 V4's with her morphs to your scene, then each of those V4's will have their own 10,481 kb cr2s, because the morphs are embedded into each of the cr2's. If you had 10 V4's using all those morphs from that one pmd file, then you would have 10 V4's each with a 495 kb cr2, and all of them would reference that one pmd.
So you can do the math - 10 x 10,481 kb = 104,810 kb vs (10 x 495 kb) + 16,746kb = 21,696 kb
Now which scene is smaller?
Well, that makes sense. Of course, I've never used more than 2 Vickies in a scene before, so I don't think the PMDs would help much in those cases. Furthermore, whenever I do use 2 Vickies, they are two different figures (or models), i.e., one might be Aurelie from Thorne and the other Adrinna from RebelMommy. Different CR2s and different PMDs.
