Thread: switching figure groups how? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - Not sure if that's what you mean, but turning off BEND on that part will make it tigid, like armour.

not really, this piece is made up of a number of body groups, it has to be

Quote - What I di is model the shoe with the figure in the zero pose. Use the v4dev cr2 as the donor rig in setup (actually just hack a copy of the cr2 and then after conforming I create a pose file to set the V4 figure foot position.
ย
basically what I need to do is: (please correct me if I'm wrong)
make the shoe .obj
save it in poser as a figure after the rigging.
hack the cr2 file with the text editor or cr2 editor to change the foot and toes rotations.
ย
now, I'm not so sure about saving it as a figure first though

Quote - Do not rig shoes.
Make them smart props with inherit bends checked ON, parented to the foot.
Fast and easy.
They inherit bends one group up and one group down.

thanks I'll try that

figured out that the shoe has to be tilted before boning it
make a mesh of the high heel shoe that wraps around a zeroed body and then put it through the set up room.
not exactly convenient for a program that has the entire market based on this kinds of figures

yep, figured it out, but can one automate the process? I mean, putting the bones where they should be is like driving blind folded.
can one save a high heel posed character as a zero pose?

Thread: bullet time, anyone got to make something useful? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
well yes, the cloth room makes downloadable content explode unless it is dynamic, and I hate working with dynamic clothing. the hair room, with all the time and effort I put in, I still get only weid alien moving resource hungryย blondish hair.
I guess I took too much of a leap of faith and imagination to think that bullet physics fixed all that

Quote - you guys saying that it doesnt do what they show in Nerd3D's demo clip of it?
it does make Victoria "parts" jiggle if you want it to, and you can make some "amazing" curtains move, but lets say you want clothes and hair move realisticly while a figure is walking........... well I sort of guessed after the tutorial that that was the thing it was for
Thread: Making a new Female Base Model? Don't want to disappoint? Checklist. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
the thing is that I personally use WWG version of Victoria only because the original version lost translation to feet and hip, I have to hide genitalia everytime I do something. I guess that those body parts are only useful in very specific cases. The thing that trouble me most is that people have a very sexual driven creation ideology with Poser, both to rendering to content creation. we should actually start to thing about the figures as being tools rather than dolls.
I'm trying to start a trend to use Poser seriously by doing non sexual based clothing.
for example I'm building a Samurai for V4, one that doesn't show chest or legs in any sexual way.
some other people are doing this kind of sets, but Poser sites are riddled with sexywear to buy. That is the main reson why Poser and Daz Studio are the laughing stock of the 3D comunity.

I've spent some time with a previous version, but it didn't work for poser due to tri polyes. does the 3 offer quad now?
