No you shouldn't if you render any sort of animations directly from Poser. The 64 Bit version doesn't support as many video codecs as the 32 bit version does. In 32 bit you can render to DivX directly, but not in 64 bit because DivX doesn't do 64 bit yet. A lot of video codecs only work in 32 bit still.
And before everyone jumps in and says it's best to render images and put them together in some other program, Yeah yeah, whatever. Some of us want to render to AVI directly from Poser so this information is pertinant to those of us who do.

Quote - i was gonna suggest we could post a scan of our poser DVD to prove we bought it.
ISTR one of the poser vendors accepted that at one time. but it's too easy to fake IMVHO.
hence we just assume everybody bought it legally. that's how it works in 'rosity's jurisdiction.
I ain't a lawyer.
I don't have a store bought DVD of Poser Pro 2010!! I won it for free and it was a digital download.... Guess I'm guilty of something... Oh yeah, I'm a Poser...That's the video that won it for me.

I have some RKane morphs in a folder called RKane1 in a CR2 called Apollo RKane_1.cr2. I remember spending a lot of time editing the CR2 names of the morphs because they weren't consistant.

If you guys are going to continue this whole discussion could you refrain from insulting half the US population with generalities and stereotypes please? Sure there are churches and denominations where thinking isn't very high on the totem pole but there are also churchs who believe the part of the bible where God is quoted as stating "For lack of knowlege, my people perish" and they encourage thought and study and even... gasp... science!

Not to knock your freebies Joe, but it looks like Wolverine has two feedbags hanging out the leg holes of his shorts! Just one of the reasons I never took to Apollo even after buying him. He just always looked too, um, Inflatable to me.

Quote - All i know is 80 percent of people do not buy Poser nowadays. They download it for free.
Other packages that people are downloading for free:
3D Max
3D Maya
Vue
Poser 6, 7, 8AND The content too.
Nothing you can do about it.Just be happy.Besides, all the software including WINDOWS XP, Vista, 7 have been downloaded millions of times in China.
Honestly Joster, you don't know that for a fact. Please don't assume the rest of us haven't paid for our software just because maybe you didn't. I personally have turned in 3 different sites to the creators of Poser in the past 5 years when I saw them selling Poser or giving it away. Most recently some twit on twitter!

Last time I checked you could still log into your old CP account history to find your purchases, but I don't think they're offering any downloads of them anymore. But it could at least give you the peace of mind knowing if you bought Miki 1020 from them or not....

VHS will still be in PAL format so no, your dad won't be able to play it unless you can get it converted to NTSC.

While the man known popularly as Jesus Christ may have existed, and while he was likely an exceptional figure, he was nothing more than a teacher and a "missionary" of sorts. An exceptionally intelligent and brave teacher no doubt, but very human and there was nothing godlike or metaphysical about him.
No salvation, no Creator, no messiah... just space, matter, energy, chemistry and the laws of physics that all eventually led to an intelligence so consumed with its own self-importance that it invented gods, heaven and salvation to ease its troubled mind and make its existence more bearable...
I guess you have your work cut out for you to prove all this.
I wouldn't even try.
That's the conclusion I've come to after 35 years of learning about religion and science and overall human society, culture and nature. And half that amount of time regularly actively debating it both with many other people as well as myself.
I would have to write an entire book explaining how I came to that conclusion and I'm not about to do that, especially since so many others already have.Besides, it's an opinion, which should be pretty obvious, and opinions don't demand "proof".
Just lettin' you know it wasn't "Obvious" it was just an opinion since it wasn't stated that it was an opinion. It was framed as a fact gramatically.
Quote - > Quote - I think that some of the conclusions being jumped to on both sides of the coin are...well, at best, demeaning. People of faith are not inherently followers any more than atheists are inherently amoral.
There is part of the above statement that I find hard to understand. I thought (rightly or wrongly) that the essence of a religious faith was that you followed the teaching of some prophet (Mohamed, Jesus, Moses, etc), or the teaching of some some religious leader (Gandhi, Billy Graham, Kohmani, the Pope, etc), or some religious text (Bhavagad Gita, Torah, Qur'an, etc).
If people of religious faith are not inherently followers (and I'm not knocking being a follower of something), then what are they? I am not asking out of a desire to be argumentative, I really want to know. It has always seemed to me that being of a religious faith is synonymous with following some religious teaching. If I am mistaken, could someone please set me straight?
Well most Christians I know tend to consider themselves to be "Believers" as their whole salvation is based on the "Belief" that Jesus is the living word of God and that he is what he said he is. The doorway to our salvation. You can follow anyone you want to follow, even Christ, and still be lost to God if you don't truely believe. The bible says without faith it's impossible to please God.

Fine I have no desire to argue that point, but if he is alive, then it's up to him whether he wants to sue for deformation or not. Unless he has given you power of attorney, would it not be presumptuous of you to launch a case without his permission?
Les, that really isn't my point and I'm not here to argue my beliefs are better or worse than anyone elses. My ONLY Point is that discussions on religion are going to ALWAYS be contentious and defamatory to one person or another simply because of the nature of the beast that is "Faith". Whether anyone agrees with my faith or not was never my point.
And whether you or JenX want to consider this topic defamatory or not is also a moot point. Anytime religion is brought up in a forum that isn't meant for such discussions, It is just blatant trolling. This too is against the TOS. If you can't see that asking if Aliens should be required to accept Christ isn't someone's idea of taking a stick and poking it into an anthill, you're just willfully blind.

Quote - The "Defamatory Statements" clause of the TOS is designed to protect the currently living, or, by some very far reaches, those who may be recently deceased but their estates are very touchy/sue-happy. As, according to historical documentation, Christ would have passed around 2K years ago, the clause doesn't fit.
As far as Christ is concerned, Christians believe that He IS alive.

Quote - I think if they could get here, they'd either a) know whether or not there's a Hell and how to avoid going there and/or b) whether or not there's a God/they are in fact God.
"I consider it to be defamatory to say Jesus isn't God. That's in the TOS is it not? No Defamatory statements?"
Then can Sam and I, as atheists, also say that stating God absolutely exists be defamatory as well? ;)
SnowS
Of course you can, but it would still be a breach of the TOS concerning defamatory statements that they're claiming don't exist in this thread. Frankly any discussion of religion is going to defame one person or another's beliefs. This is why most forums don't allow such discussions unless they thrive on the strife that ensues.

Thread: OT: Can you shape your dream with Sounds during sleep? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - It seems to have happened to me often. There's an alarm in real life, and in my dream something related to that happens. For example today i dream about an annoying alarm ring that didn't stop and we had to take out the batteries.
well, in real life the alarm was sounding, so it seems it influenced my dream.
I wonder if i could shape my dream by putting on a CD about any theme i want to dream about.
You can influence your dreams by many methods. Eating before you sleep will produce fantastic results! Especially if it's gassy producing foods like salads or lot's of fluids like water. You can also play music or TV shows to influence what your mind produces while you're asleep. There's also a method called "Focused Dreaming" where you concent
