Another tip to conform transparent hair to the head is to set the transparency to zero. It is much easier to do all the transforms with solid hair. When you're done set the transparency back and render.

Yees, it's a trial and error job: paint the texture, render it from various angles, change the texture, render again from various angles, change the texture a.s.o. For me texturing is one of the most essential needs to have good renders (light to show a specific mood is something even more important).

Making textures out of photos is a terrible job (At least for me), so I prefer a paint program for that. You can take surface structures from a photo but - as I understand you - your effort was meant to make a portait of your daughter. The difficulties are to fit the texture (photo) to the template. And more essential: To have the shape similar to the real person, you need to play a lot with the dials in Poser. I know what I am talking about: tried to make Vicki similar to a friend of mine is still a challenge for me.

Jaager I admit, it might be less attractive for DAZ3D to publish a manual from a financial point of view. I don't know the personal resources they have. Maybe they are too thin. For me (and I guess for others too) a description of the MTs would be taken greatfully. As I said above, it would save a lot of time. On the other hand you are right: exploring all the new features of V2, to change a dial here and there and seeing what happens can be a lot of fun. I use Poser since many years and I purchased V1 last year, so it's not too difficult for me, but I think other users with less experience might have problems. Apart from that I just like reading manuals (I know that is rare). <;-)

Thanx for the positive response. It was for a portrait, but I thought the community could use it too. My next MT for Vicki (Vickie or Vicky???) will be an inside bending of the philtrum section. IMO it's too straight and I haven't found out a MT neither in V1 or V2. Not sure if Morph World e.g. has one but I think I'll make my own and share it. Maybe in 24 hours...
