I've used Vue in the past, but never Plant Factory so I'm a complete newbie. I've downloaded all the extra PF stuff, but I want to be sure that i install it correctly. When I click the installer for one of the extras it wants to install it on the C drive with the PF program. Is that correct? I have my Vue content on my D drive. Can someone walk me through this, please?
Thread: Vue and Daz3D | Forum: Vue
I see that the 2024 version is a beta and the 2023 is more stable. Curious to see which version most of you are doing with. Are the remaining bugs in 2024 bad enough to avoid it?
Thread: e-on rip off | Forum: Vue
You're kidding! I'm looking at a new computer and even if I have the activation code my Vue2016 won't work unless I pay another $200? How can they justify that?

Yes, I am interested in plants and trees found in Rocky Mountains, Colorado in particular.

Still PC shopping. What are your thoughts on AMD Ryzen 5 5600 vs. Intel i7 as far as Daz use? I hear that Ryxen runs cooler, but i7 has more cores.

Needing a new computer. Have decided on Nvidia GTX 3060 12 gb graphic card, but that's about as far as I've gotten. How important for Daz 3d and maybe Blender or Vue is i7 vs. i9? Would consider AMD Ryzen as well, but have been looking at Dell's XPS line and they see to be all Intel. Also is 16 gb RAM enough or do I need to go 32 gb. Have used Dell for last two computers and very satisfied with them, but willing to look at other venders. Who would you recommend?

I am also having issue in the Free Stuff section. from Bitdefender: We blocked this dangerous page for your protection: https://bw-1651cf0d2f737d7adeab84d339dbabd3-freestuff.s3.amazonaws.com/ Dangerous pages attempt to install software that can harm the device, gather personal information or operate without your consent.
Thread: Wer or Sweaty skin | Forum: DAZ|Studio
That was supposed to be "Wet or Sweaty Skin". Can't find a way to edit the post.
I have sweaty skin overlay I found somewhere, that will work as a bump map, but I can't find a way to give the skin that shiny or glossy wet look. I've tried playing with the glossy and glossy reflectivity settings, but doesn't work.

I paid for 2016 Complete upgrade weeks ago. 0n hold due to web issues. Hope that Cornucopia will honor last month's credit since could not order due to web issues. You would think that a software company could update a website.
Thread: Vue on sale | Forum: Vue
Update. E-ON contacted me today and since I had sent a inquiry during the sale they will honor sale prices for me. There is not a direct path from Vue 2014 Studio to 2016 Complete. What I have to do is go 2014 Studio to 2016 Studio, then 2016 Studio to 2016 Complete. It will only cost $40 more than upgrading to 2016 Studio and buying Ecopaint for an additional $99. They really get you on the module prices! But once I have Complete, I will save money on future editions since I won't need to buy modules.
Thread: Vue on sale | Forum: Vue
I am really unhappy with Eon right now. I emailed sales last week asking for a price on upgrading from 2014 studio to 2016 complete. I never got a reply. I checked their Facebook page today and found that today was the last day for the 30% off sale. I posted a query through Eon's website, but apparently it takes several days for sales to respond. So I tried to call them. I called the phone number for sales in US and Canada. All I got was French! Sorry, no can do. So I decided that I would go ahead and order 2016 Studio since today was the last day of the sale. I went to their website at 7 PM CT and the sale prices are gone! Come on! Normally online sales are good through midnight. I tried to contact them and make a purchase, but can't get a response so I guess they don't want my business. Sticking with my Vue 2014.

Thanks for all of your advice. Found a Dell Inspiron i7 -7700 with 16 gb RAM and NVIDIA GT-750-Ti w/2 gb DDR5 and 1 TB Hard drive on sale. Before I buy, should that run Vue and Poser satisfactory? Will also take HartyBart and look into possibly upgrading to newer Vue.
