I've had all notifications turned off in my settings for years. I just checked them again... still turned off / set to NO
...AND YET I'M NOW GETTING EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS about new images being uploaded etc...
Thread: Really unhappy with the new site design | Forum: Community Center
Frankly I'm finding myself over at http://www.artstatiom.com as my second major artistic port of call (after deviantart.com...) rather than here now.
Mostly I just add to my galleries on Rendo' out of "historical sheer-bloody-minded habit" rather than expecting anything to come from the posting or image now.

Ok... I found the upload button... Eventually!...
On an iPad I have to be in my own gallery, AND be in landscape orientation to see it. In portrait orientation it's not visible at all.
You'd think this is a feature/action you wouldn't want to hide like that. Just have the upload button visible on all gallery pages in any orientation.
Like I said, the new Renderosity sucks big time. Truly a massive step backwards, and I absorbed all the other Renderosity changes over the years without complaint. But now, now you've really out done yourselves.

I have no idea how to do a screenshot on an iPad... Or how to upload it.
When I click on a dropdown menu and then one of the options I briefly get a row of links that includes an upload link. This row then disappears when the page changes and I can't find it again without clicking another dropdown menu and selecting somewhere else to go. It disappears well before I could click that upload button that appears and since the page is in transition it probably doesn't work anyway.

Apparently the submit button I was trying to use is the "search marketplace" submit button... I thought it was the submit artwork button.
So, I can't see anywhere to upload images on Renderosity now at all.
I did notice that when I clicked the dropdown menu for Community and then clicked Forum, that I briefly got a row of blue links starting with 'Home' that included an 'upload' blue link, but then these disappeared when the page changed over to the forums. I can't see these links now once the forum page loads.
I have no idea how to do a screenshot and to upload it with an iPad...

The site looks crap on an iPad.
The submit button takes you to 2 ad banners and nothing else... I can't see how to submit anything now.
I feel the Renderosity team have excelled themselves in alienating the users this time... I've been here since 2001 but this is the first time I've felt like just chucking Tenderosity in once and for all.
Art station.com is better than this. (And that place isn't very flash and usable on an iPad either)

The text box such as here keeps freezing on my ipad. All I can do then is reload the entire page ands start again... I did have a longer explanation of the problem but this is ironically my third attempt to type this for exactly this reason...!

white boxes... white boxes everywhere!
why not just be done with it and get rid of the grey/blue/custom css colour of your choice background altogether and just have a white background entirely?
It'll still make the images look like crap against it but it'll be better than this white box stuff everywhere...

Well this is the look that I get on my 23" screen
Wayyy too much white space against the now somewhat pointless background colour (running my own custom CSS obviously)
How this can be called an improvement I have no idea... Bring back Rendo's look from when we had the firebird-brush painting logo IMO
cheers

I just have a lot of white boxes and then the rendo' blue in the middle (there's stuff in the boxes but it just looks like the background colour didn't load)
I thought it was a script error at first as well

frankly I didn't even notice the site mail icon up at top right near the login name until you mentioned it and I went looking for it. Sure enough I have a message... not that I'd noticed. At least the old one 'blinked' at you so you'd see that something was new.
There's also the 'site notifications' next to it which is pretty pointless IMO. There's the email notifications (which I send automagically directly to trash anyway otherwise my email would be nothing but rendo notifications of a fav or comment... )and there's no way to delete them! (as far as I can see) so why double up like this?
cheers

well at least we're all getting a good education in CSS thanx to the horrible default colour scheme that rendo's established!!!

Really Rendo admins,
doesn't it speak volumes that people are almost universally AGAINST the changes that have bene made with the BLUE!!!! theme?
of course you haven't a clue about the silent members or new visitors that have seen it and just quietly left very quickly...
and how the CSS forum is suddenly experienceing a distinct spike in activity and new posts with new modifying code?
doesn't that make you think that "hmmm.. maybe we got it wrong this time..?"
Really..?

** BLUE!!!!!!!**
How can anyone possibly think a bright blue like this is a good thing for an art website???
It violently clashes with the actual pictures as can be seen below -->
The thumbnails need to be set against a nice neutral colour such as black so you're not distracted by all that BLUE!!!!!
At least the actual gallry image has a black background, but now that stands out like a sore thumb against the BLUE!!!!!!!! of the surrounds -->
But dear Lord, it's BLUE!!!!!!
Who on Earth thought thsi was a good idea???..?
Black was so much better. Cgtalk uses black, ItsArt uses black - why? Because it's the most effective background that's why. We look at the picture NOT the BLUE!!!!! of the website.
OK, so the argument is "Oh but it makes Rendersoity stand out so much more effectively than those other sites"... Well since WHEN has Marketing ever had a better clue as to what works or not artistically than the art dept. itself, in any company on the face of the planet? Gawd... I feel like we've entered the Dilbert zone with this BLUE!!!!!. Who did the website coding - the Elbonians?
Please please change it back to a darker colour or the dark grey/black of before
This is more than a simple change of header/title - which everyone hates anyway but we get used to - this is far more serious.
