For me, the only thing that keeps it from being dreamlike is the picnic table on the left. The rest of the image is really incredible, but the picnic table kind of grounds the whole thing in reality. -Taltos

I'd leave it all black and white. The color is distracting to me. It draws your eye away from the rest of the image. The image overall is great though. I love the tones. -Taltos

I crop first, then cut my own matts if the photo doesn't fit a standard size. I'm not very good at it, but after it's in a frame, it's difficult to tell if it's a professional cut matt or not (at least to me). -Taltos

One of the reasons that I like the forum is that I feel that I can trust the information. I've been to the bookstore a number of times, plonked down my hard-earned cash, only to find that the majority of the book is fluff. Perhaps a list of known good books in the resource center would help (the series by Ansel Adams is excellent, by the way). -Taltos

I just took a quick look at your site. I'd say leave it as is. You've got a sufficient warning that the galleries in question may have nude shots. The rest is up to the viewer. I tend to come from the "art is art" school of thought though. -Taltos

"This recepticle is not suitable for transporting burning embers." My father used to work for a fire department near a ski resort. 90% of the time when one of the condos on the side of the mountain caught fire, it was because the residents had cleaned the embers out of their fireplace, put them in a paper bag, and tossed them into the trash. -sigh-

It'd be cool if you took a shot after each piece was inserted, and then assembled the shots into an animation. It would look as if the puzzle were assembling itself. -Taltos

When I crop, it's usually an artistic decision. It has nothing to do with keeping the "good" portion of a photo (okay, sometimes it does). Sometimes what I choose artistically at the time of shooting is different than what I decide when it comes time to make a print. Some images look better with an odd aspect ratio, some don't. I think it's probably all personal preference depending on the photographer. Cropping is just another tool to help express what I want to.

Strangely enough, I think I agree with Tedz. Cross-Dressing/Reverse-Genders. Could make for some interesting creative shots. Something like that could get a lot of us out of our comfort zones. Make us think a bit.
