Thanks Stormchaser. Turning off texture filtering made a world of difference.  I never would have expected this, as I thought the "Quality" setting would ensure the very best texture rendering. In fact, it seems the opposite is true in some instances (though I have no idea why).
The minimum shade rate seems to be set to .20 by default (for all objects), which I understand is relatively low. I tried to reduce it .05 and .01, but there was no discernable change in quality.

Thanks for the quick replies.Â
Phil... Glad to hear WW2 supports dynamic clothes. I just bought the upgrade.

Whatever "Forward Normals" are, turning them on seems to have done the trick. Thanks for your help!

Thread: Keeping shoes conformed following leg resize | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks... the first option worked, sort of. It does get the shoes better aligned with the feet, and with a bit of additional tweaking I was able to fit them. It also may explain why shoes which rise up only to the ankles have shin and thigh body parts. Nonetheless, conforming clothing leaves a lot to be desired, as it rarely changes to match the morphs and alterations I make to the character.

The character was created using a morph injection which alters the figure, but apparently does not change the body morph dials. That's why Anton's first option wouldn't help me. However, the "morph cancelling" approach worked well, so all is fine now. Many thanks for the fast assistance!

Thread: Parenting Lights | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks everyone... I just tried the infinite-to-spot conversion trick, and it worked well. However, as this technique clearly demonstrates that infinite lights can be parented, it makes me wonder why Poser disables this feature.

Thanks Mizrael... I was hoping for a quick way to rotate my whole lighting set-up 180 degrees, including the infinite lights. Guess the parenting trick won't help in this case.

There are five lights in the scene. Four are infinite and one is a spot with the point-at option set. Three of the infinite lights move when I try to parent them. The other infinite light and the spot stay put. I'm using a Light Panel python script to do the parenting. In Poser 6, the parenting option is not available for infinite lights, though it is for spotlights. Maybe that is the problem... I am tryiing to parent infinite lights with a script which tries to do something Poser can't handle?

I'm trying to parent them, though some of the lights are pointing to other objects. Not sure why that would cause them to move when they are being parented.

Thread: Copying V3 Character to V3 Reduced Resolution | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks everyone... these are all great suggestions, but none of them worked. The good news is that now I know why. Thanks to AntoniaTiger, I peeked inside the INJ pose file and discovered... I had made custom morphs for the figure, none of which of course are in the RR version. Sigh... of the dozens of figures to choose from, I picked one of the few that did not use DAZ morphs. I'm still kicking myself for not realizing this sooner.
Next step, I suppose, is to copy the custom morphs to the RR version using Tailor or Morph Manager (any recommendations which would work better here?). Then, I will try the previous suggestions again. I do hope that V3 and V3 RR share the same mesh.

Thanks stahlratte... I suppose the problem is that I am trying to copy the body morphs. The head morphs in the original character are inconsequential, and as I had hoped to use the RR version in long shots, they aren't as important as the body morphs. The body morphs in the RR version appear to have the same names as those in the regular V3, though there are less of them. Odd that the head morphs would work but not the others.
Oh well... so much for using the RR characters. At least I'll be able to free up some space in my runtime.

Sorry, but just turning on IK after following the other steps does not work (not sure how the hand would know to follow the prop without some association between them). I think I know what IK is supposed to do, but the problem is the deformations which occur when I do the parenting. It does not seem to affect other folks who have parented body parts after turning off IK, so I am very curious what it is that I am doing differently.
