Thread: Michael Head Texture---Done | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Excellent work on the texture. I recently purchased Mike and discovered there aren't many textures available. Look forward to seeing one of your great textures!
Thread: Only the head and hair are by Zygote | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nice modeling! Sometimes I spend more time on the cr2 creation than I did modeling the figure... although I haven't tackled a full figure your work is motivating!! Looking forward to seeing this one in the future after you've conquered the twisty's and smoothy's... :~)

Thread: Mike Armor | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nice modeling. I've made a couple of sets of conforming armor which work great but it sure limits the posing to keep it realistic.
Thread: New P4Replacement Head update and release info | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Great modeling. I've tackled the head a couple of times without much success so I know how much work, knowledge and patience it requires. Do you plan on doing other replacement parts?
Thread: New Hooded Tunic - WIP | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Phil - Your hood moves down and sits around the neck great! I've fiddled with this one to get the hood to fold down but... Used the JP editor and morphs but I think I left the neck to long... tomorrow I'll re-cut the mesh and see if I can improve it. Sharky - thanks! I've been admiring your's and Phil's work for a long time... gives me something to shoot for! I'll post an update after I re-cut the mesh and get a belt made. --Byron
Thread: New fem warrior costume - comments? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well it sounds like boot cuffs are a must... I'll give it a go. The collar stays and I'll build a scabbard w/ belt as a seperate figure. Thanks for the comments! -Byron
Thread: New conforming Vicki boots (WIP) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks for the comments. Sounds like the wrinkles are a head so far... They are a pain to model but I'll give it a go after I finish tweaking these up for Vicki. Jagger - Agreed I could do both versions with the same model but my personal preference is make two versions. That way I can use them in my other animation applications. Since I have the basic mesh it wouldn't be hard to modify for the P4Male. I'll put that on the todo list. -Byron
Thread: I could use a little help please.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I just render the scene, go to Display and paste it on the background, move the camera to hide the figure and then simply save the figure. There is one video mode (can't remember which one) that the will distort the image.
Thread: Chaney Jr. Texture Mapping-I need to know your opinion. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The mapping layout looks good. Similar size for edge matching parts is a must and you've covered that where needed. Just looking at it you can see some real advantages over the standard template. The one area that may cause me to think a little harder than I like is the layout of the eyeball parts. I prefer to have them either lined up vertically or all overlaid. I know that limits some of the things you can do but it's just a personal preference. It would be GREAT to have the parts in Photoshop layers. That is usually the first time consuming thing I have to do before starting on a new texture. I've often wondered why we do distribute more textures in PSD format... don't really know compatible it is for importing into other tools but it is the only one I use. Byron p.s. - I can see what you mean by the genetalia not working chuckling
Thread: cr2 help? Please! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Forgot to add that if I remove the weld lForeArm to the lHand statement in the cr2 the artifact goes away... but I don't get the smoothing at the joint...
Thread: CYMK & BUM conversions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ahhh... that explains a few things I've had trouble with. I just love this forum and little golden nuggets like this! THANK YOU!!!
Thread: Problem with MAX Import / Bump Map | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If you used Max's "Pick Material from Object" to load the material of the imported object you will need to adjust some Material Editor settings. Under Basic Parameters change the shading to Blinn or Phong to remove the facets and then change the Ambient color, and set the Shininess & Shin Strength (Black/25/5 are good starting points). The imported defaults wash the textures out. Reference a known material for nominal settings. This is assuming I understood your question.
Thread: props added | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Great props again! You are one of the most prolific modelers or quality items I've every come across.
