Thread: Poser now sucks | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
@matteandy: "Since the 32 bit site has been cancelled, I can no longer edit any of the images like it was previously designed to do. "
So your OS is 32 bit and you have a problem with a 64 bit Poser? Did you search for Windows compatibility options?
@vitachick: "Upgrade does SUX...everything worked ok until my main comp died...Now nothing works. "
So your computer died? How is that related to Poser? If Poser worked before your PC died your problem is the PC had a change since then. Did you install the same OS you had before on your comp? Any other installations different to what you had before?

The little folder is a screenshot from DAZ Studio. You have to manually locate that folder in DAZ Studio.
Even though these articles are a bit outdated by now they give an introduction to install and use DSON:

@WandW
Not in Windows; User Account Control prevents writing to the C:/Program files hierarchy by the user.
I'm working with Windows 7. UAC does not prevent writing to the C:/Program. At least not in the Professional edition. And of course that can be manually changed for the Poser folder too. Which is easier than to splatter Poser files around the C: drive. But I use only one Runtime anyway...
So @generation2235 my way works for me and it should for you too. But @WandW's way is also working - if your UAC is on and you don't want to change that.
My folder structure looks like this:
In the 'DSON' folder you see a folder named 'auto_adapted' - that is created by Poser after you've loaded a figure that needs DSON into Poser. I moved the 'Data' folder from DAZ Studio into that DSON folder because somehow that works better. The 'Runtime' folder in the 'DSON' folder is created by DAZ Studio after you link the 'DSON' folder in DAZ Studio! It's an empty Runtime dummy.
Don't forget to link the 'DSON' folder (I named it DSON) to the libraries in DAZ Studio (if you use DS for converting general weight items to Triax) and Poser!
You can use your Poser Runtime in DAZ Studio too. You just have to link that additionally if you use DS.
The paths for the two different DSON importers into Python I've already described.
I have time to help you. Just PM me.

The path for Python scripts always have to be within the Runtime! The Runtime has to be in Program Files->Smith Micro->Poser (whatever version)
Runtime->Python->addons->dson (the DSON importer by DAZ) or:
Runtime->Python->poserScripts->ScriptsMenu->Dimension3D->DSONLoader.py (the DSON loader by D3D)

@vitachick: I still use Poser Pro 2014 besides PP11. Is there something with PP2014 that needs to be updated? I think it's very stable.

So you're saying your mom and dad, or whoever they were screwing would let you sit and watch while they had sex? Wow. Progressive.
I don't know why the arrogance and needless aggressiveness this member is showing towards different members of this forum for years is tolerable to the moderators.
The topic was Tumblr and assumed censorship. Not that member's assumptions about other members. I think the rules here are very clear about it-

Thanks for that answer @FVerbass. My Tumblr account includes only my own images. Not a single link to anyone else's content except one for a petition to boycott Tumblr recently...
I'm surprised nobody pointed out the real reason for that nonsense: Tumblr's app was excluded from the Apple app store because some child pornography wasn't deleted fast enough by Tumblr. It's not the terrible mistake they made at Tumblr they care about. It's the business problem that they got excluded from Apple. And Apple seems to have a problem with nudity in general as their upcoming TV projects prove: it's supposed to be very "family friendly" in a Disney way. US family entertainment - i always wondered how there could be families if they have no sex...but I was educated in public schools without religious brainwashing.

You get the shadows for Superfly only with EZDome (Build 65 !!!) - you can use the "catcher" (as it is called) without the dome, but you need the dome to load the catcher!
Since Snarly couldn't continue the project and his website has only build 54 someone at SM forum uploaded it here:

"I'm perplexed, what is the purpose of it--why can't I delete it?"
Actually you can. With Dimension3D's free Python script 'Delete'. You find it here: http://d3d.sesseler.de/index.php?software=poserpython
Thread: Genesis 2 into Poser problem | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Before you pose your Genesis character and before you apply clothing alway use these pose files first!!!
The first one is by Cliff Bowman, the second one I couldn't research the author, both I have since 2014, they seem to work for Genesis 3 and 8 too - if the characters went through willdial's Genesis 3 Poser Updater.

No I haven't. The weird thing is - since you've mentioned the weight - I looked for it: they are for example 4096x4096 pixel large but only between 200 and 300 KB. The converted .jpg files are between 530 and 630 KB.
I've searched now just for *.tif files in my runtime and it turns out that I have some that work in P11P with no problem at all. but they don't "weigh" much more, around 500 KB to 1 MB.
Still there must be a reason why they all seemed to work in PP2014 but only a few in P11P. I opened them in Photoshop but I don't have a clue. I don't see any difference.

If Poser could also get EVEE and a updated cycles that would be great. If Blender had the Poser interface it would rule! Here's hoping someone with programming skills fixes Blenders difficult interface.
That would be really helpful to me too.
Thread: Deleted Poser 11 Pro this morning - back to Poser10/2014 Pro | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Anyone who recommends a fresh Windows install just because the effing Poser library doesn't work as it should - something SM is aware of and has addressed a few times in their service releases - shows absolute no sign of "how to computer".
Karina, next time TRY TO READ the READ ME file, first page: "known issues: library" !!!
