Stewer,
Un-freakin'-believalbe...
Ya, sure enough, I've got the 1473. Thanks very much. The specs said I needed a Kinect for xBox, but who would have guessed it had to be an older model. Think Amazon will trade me for an older model?
BTW: The thing that really ticks me off is that the makers of Fastmocap didn't respond to any of my three requests for assistance. No even a "we don't know what's wrong". At least Paypal was able to get me my money back.
So now the question is, do I get the older model and try again... Hmmmm...

Here are the settings for each of the characters above:
Older Character
The newer one
Clearly, there's a lot more going on with the newer MAT. When I disconnect all but the Image_Maps, then crank up the Diffuse_Value to 1.2, in P7 I get most of the effect I'm looking for. I recognize experts may cringe at this ham-fisted approach, but this may be one of those "eye of the beholder" situations, not to mention dropping the process back to a level I understand.
I do appreciate the assistance you all have given me. Perhaps when I have time to learn the subtlties of lighting in Poser, I'll be able to make use of it.
Thanks again,
Dave

Thank you very much for all your input.
I didn't disappear, just went back to sleep then got up and went to work.
As my post shows, I'm a lighting neophyte. It make total sense that later characters designed for improved light rendering are not rendered as intended on earlier versions of Poser. I'll try what of the suggestions I can in P7 and look forward to reading further discussion.
My apologies for not posting my settings an example of the material settings of the MATs.

Kalypso,
Turning off the filters brought my renders back to life. Whoo-hoooo!
Thanks a million!

Thread: Stopping Boxing Trunks from Resizing (Billy-T set) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks you all for your suggestions. After thinking about it for a few days the answer came to me and it is remarkable simple.
The boxing trunks are designed to adjust to changes in the model it is near, so rather than following my normal process of shaping the model, then adding clothing, I add the boxing trunks first (no need to conform), then adjust V4's physique to my liking.
Voila!!
The trunks adjust as I change the model, maintaining their shape relative to V4's . Once I get V4's figure the way I like the trunks fit perfectly, regardless of how curvy I make V4's waist and hips.
Whoo-hooo!

Ohhhhhhhh yaaaaaa.... The open the Library from the menubaaaar. (That was embarassing.)
Thanks!

Thank you for your input, but this isn't how the Mac version of Poser 6 seems to work. When I move to the Materials Room the Library window disappears. The only kind of texture I can apply in the Materials Room is .jpg. Unless I'm not seeing something this may be a feature on later versions only.

First of all, THANK YOU all for your assistance. You can see the results at the link above.ACADIA & TREKIEGRRRL: You can see my Material Room settings in the pic. Poser 6 doesn't have a Reverse Normals checkbox. It does have a Normals_Forward setting, but that didn't seem to do anything. Anything you can suggest is greatly appreciated.
SAMTHERAPY & VINCEBAGNA: Your suggestions improved the render, but didn't completely fix the fine hair detail. It could be the limitations of P6. In any case, I'm sure your recommendations will improve my other renderings going forward, so much thank.

Where can I get PhilC's Clothing Designer modules? I don't see them in his Marketplace store.
