Thanks for the kind comments. I wish I had the time to visit this place more often and to have more fun with Vue, but life just gets busy sometimes. I do poke in and check out the Vue Gallery, I love seeing everyone's hard work. Thanks for deleting the low ratings Mike, not too important to me, but it's nice to know you go out of your way to make this a better run site than any others I've seen, making members feel at home :) But, for the record, I like Wendy's the best! Thanks all! Dave

They are both great. Hard to pick a favorite. The top pic blends better, but the bottom gives more definiton. I guess it depends on the "feel" you wanted to present. Maybe the top pick for a better overall picture? Neither one are losers! Nice job!

I use to use Bryce 4 all the time, until I got Vue 3. If you want to compare pictures, I have a Vue Gallery and a Bryce Gallery on my web page. http://members.xoom.com/tidaldave/ Vue is much better, Dave

I only render in Ultra, I notice a big difference. It takes a lot of the grain out. I usually only render in the default screen size, since I don't really have reason to render larger than that, but Ultra is the way to go!

Yeah, I've exported several files from Bryce to use in Vue 3. When ever I try to export in 3ds though, Bryce crashes. So, yes it's possible, but 3ds files crash all the time from my experiences. Huh, and I thought it was just my computer that had problems with 3ds.

Marge, I don't have to rotate my Poser 4 textures, I just load them and apply them, that's it. I sometimes have to rotate clothing textures, but never skin/body textures. Do you have Vue 3 and Poser 4? Dave

I'd hope it better than Brycing! Being as I'm slower than most, I have never fly fished. Give me a big fat shrimp, greenback, shinner, or a nice jig, and I'm happy! What can I say, I'm a simple man. I'll post some pics of all the fish I catch this weekend just to make you jealous, just make sure you make up some good lattice fish pics, I look forward to those! Oops, bedtime, happy weekend all, it's Friday in 45 minutes!

H2, whenever you are ready (seriously). Any fisherman is a friend of mine, I won't even bother you for any Bryce secrets. I looked at your greyscale images and I'm still in the dark. I'll figure it out though, give me time. I'm alittle slower then most. Fish on, Dave

H2, just giving you a hard time, I really was just kidding and really giving the Bryce book a hard time. Thanks for the response though. When are you coming to Florida so I can show you the fishing spots? I'm going out Saturday, can you make it? There are suppose to be alot of snook and reds out! Hope it isn't wendy though, that's been keeping me in the past few weeks. I only have a 16 foot boat! I think you need a vacation!

I have the Bryce 4 manual, it sucks I think no details. I still don't know what a lattice is! The manual says really nothing about them and H2 is keeping them a secret. I was on the Barnes and Noble site earlier this week and it listed the Susan Kithcens book as coming out next week. Who knows, that date moves around more than my beer belly! I think that would be the one to wait for though. I got her book for Bryce 2 (and lost it and never used Bryce 2, since my computer was too slow at the time), but I do remember liking the book. The book by Morter (sp?) for Bryce 4 I checked out and didn't care for, too entry level I thought. Dave

I get the same problem with the Poser Peacock, I get solid wings that look funny. I'm in the dark also, so I guess the fix to your problem would be the fix to mine also. Sorry, I'm no help, but feel your pain.
Thread: Spunky: re grainy Vue pics | Forum: Vue
I've only had Vue 3 and Bryce 4, but even rendering in Ultra is faster then the normal render in Bryce, so, it's no big deal to me. Dave

Serpent, Thanks, that looks exactly like what I'm looking for! I'll play around with Bryce and try to adjust mine. My pic is just a big cube with a water material applied to it! Dave
