Actually, I have an idea... but if I'm right it would definitely indicate a kludgy crosstalk solution on the part of CL... The main difference between the two characters, above and beyond all else like parenting, is that the omnis are in the Figures library and the L and GL props are loading from the Props library... ...so I'm thinking it might just be possible that rather than figuring out of the object is a figure or a prop, at least for the crosstalk solution, is not done by examining the contents of the file but by where it's loaded from. If that's true, here's how to test my theory (I can't because I don't have P5) -- copy the cr2 and png from an omni in the :Libraries:Characters:Omnidirectional Lights fodler to the :Libraries:Props:Prop Types folder and change the extension from .cr2 to .pp2... If the BODY dials work, that may well be it. If not then it has something to do with starting out off. But that would be weird.
One question: when you load a GL fire you have a sky in your scene. why loading a second gravity up ???? i could change the lightcolors and intensity too. but i has nothing to do with beeing props or figures. when using props from the L folder and change the parameters i get the problems. sorry, no fix :-((
Reason to load another graviton: the gravitons for the G props aren't supposed to show up in the heirarchy editor or props menu, which means they should not show up in the 'point at' menu either. They're sort of 'silent partners'. Don't worry about loading multiple gravitons, though. They use the same geometry as the ground plane -- 1 face and four vertices and not visble. That wouldn't even slow down a commodore 64. B^) Hmm. The square isn't one I have heard of... I wonder if P5 is changing the graviton prop settings on load somehow... ? I suppose if that's happening it may also show up in menus that it's supposed to be hidden from. You could check the object properties for the graviton itself to make sure that it's not visible. i could change the lightcolors and intensity too. but i has nothing to do with beeing props or figures. when using props from the L folder and change the parameters i get the problems. sorry, no fix :-(( I'm sorry, that confused me. I don't understand what you're saying. GraphicFoxx did this image in P5. He used the light from the votive and reparented it to the Staff of Light and was able to change the colour settings and render it with no problems.
Ah, you kinda beat me to it here. So I'll just add to this one. I'll try your figures to props library here in a minute. You pretty much summed it up there. I loaded the votive, since that wasn't something that I had used in the scene yet. Positioned it to be at the same spot as the glow on the staff, and deleted it. Then chose the omni that came with the votive, and parented it to the staff. Then just changed the colors by using the paramater pallete. One other thing I found _dodger (not sure if this has been mentioned yet) I put the Minotaur in that scene before the other figures, and the prop under him. Saved it and went to bed. Worked on it the next day, and when I opened the PZ3, the prop was where it should be, but the omni was at 'zero' position-where it is when you first load the prop. I couldn't quite get it back to where it should be, so I just deleted it all, made the scene, then put in the props at the end.
dodger: what i wanted to say with omnilights being props or figures: when i used your dungeonlights first , i used one out of the propsfolder L( with omnilights) and i got strange results changing the lightsettings ( in P5) the problem with the gravity thing and the maincamera, yes the gravtity thing is invisible in properties,
Oh, one more thing (besides this forum needing an edit button). When making that scene, I used the main, alt, and dolly cameras, and never got a black panel or anything. I did however have that once before, when I was testing a free bvh of a jedi backflip that was posted in free stuff. But no dungeon lights were used or abused in that endeavor.
i have tried it: setup a simple scene with two fire props a said above, moved the props out of the zero position, saved the file, reloaded it and the omnilights are in the zero position. parented them to the prop, saved, reloaded and they were in the right place. new scene, added one prop from the GL folder, with the main camera all grey, the other work( the plate with fire was the prop i used) GraphicFoxx: strange behavior: all lights suddenly turning dark or changing color when turning the dials only a bit and turning back doesnt help

Just wanted to throw together the compiled list of solutions for using multiple omnilights using my Dungeon lighting Kit. These explain how to get and use three Gravity omnilight (GL style) torches in a scene in P4 and in P5. I'm using the torch as an example, but the same principles apply to other things, too. P4: Easy:
Viola. P5: Less easy: 1. Load up the GL torch. One down, two to go.
