I been working with 3d studio for 6 years now, and when poser came out (poser v1) the graphic's where not so good by comparison to CS/MAX, but now if you now seen poser 3&4 i whistle a different tune, the meshes in poser 3/4 are VERY Good, from what I've seen I'd now say poser 4.1 is your best bet, now had anyone converted a poser 4 meshes into max 3 successfully because I can't do it, there always messing up? if there is anyone that can to it please by GOD let me know how!! I have done it with 2.5 with great success I used the obj2max plugin from the duck at habware.com I dont know whether this plugin has been upgraded for max 3 yet I think I read on the forum that it has. hope this helps Chris-S

Conversion of Poser 3 & 4 characters into Max R3 can be done using the MLI2MAX.zip and OBJ2MAX.zip files from HABWARE. They work great!! I've converted several characters already! But now, I've got a question that I'm hoping can be answered by someone. Can bones in MAX be applied to a Poser character to create animations with?
