That blond one is supposed to be Iris in Taxi Driver. I did the morph in the Mesh modeler, RDS, for the face. The hair curls were added to one of the stock Poser hairs in the spline modeler. The Salior Moon long twists were done with the tornado thing in RDS (I think, been a couple years). The other two I just imported the head into RDS & built spline objects around them to make the hair pieces. All are way too much work (or maby I'm just slow!).
My experience designing morphs in the Mesh modeler has been terrible at best (of all my downloads here, only one was done in RDS and the experience drove me to learn Poser magnets and the materials editor). Any advice on technique would be greatly appreciated. Also, that Iris morph is great. Is it available? My EyeNarrow morph for P4F would fine-tune the eyes a bit...
bikermouse, Yes that would help (along with a trasnsparency map also). All depends on what you need to do & what you like. I like the more cartoony or stylized Poser characters. The Cosmo photographic hair is the most versatile & real if you want reality but you can't beat the camera & a real model if you really want real.
Ah yes, transparancy - I remember now. Sorry for the ommission. There was a game a few years ago called "Land of Lore Guardian of Destiny" where one of the "Ancient Stones" played a clip of "Belial" being executed by "The Droicle". "Belial's" hair showed every strand(Amazingly Realistic - probably done with lightwave). an effect i'm intrested in recreating and my perspective is obviously different from yours, willf, because of that. mapping a new hair style is one of the most difficult things to do in poser except maybe for creating a four or more footed creature from scratch. But then maybe I shouldn't be so critical. Keep trying dwanemoody you'll get it! You might try making the model in say truspace, carrera, amapi or ??? and import it poser.
