Subject: Poser 5 How do you apply the same trans map?

Anyone know (or can tell me what page to look on in the manual) how to apply the same trans map to the different trans setting? I have skimmed through the manual and can't find where it tells you.

You have to apply it in the material room.

Select the Material you want to apply the map to, then go down the list to "transparency" and click that plug socket>new node>2D Texture> Image_Map.

Load the map into that node and adjust the dial.

I understand that. Do I have to load a new map for each setting? Transparency setting and the Transparency edge. How do I get this map on the Transparency edge setting? http://webpages.charter.net/renders/trans.jpg

Try page 305 in the manual for transparency edge info.

You do not have to add another map. Here is how I do it. From your new node where the "plug in" is, click on it and drag it to the "Edge trans" Then, they will both be plugged into the same map. I found this out by cheating. I opened a Poser4 file that had a transmap. I then took it into the material room and found out how it was hooked up. You can plug in the Trans and the Trans Edge into the same node. Bill
