Description

Travel ton Tibet was a children´s dream, especially when one read all e books of l´explorer Alexandra David-Neel. But it is necessary to accept all the conditions imposed by Chinese occupant. I feel hardily divided, it´s like making tourism in a prisioner´s camp. In the past, we see the Potala, the palace of Dalais LAMA´s, by far. Today is necessary to cross a long zone of barrackments and horrible constructions for finally seeing it. The historical center of Lassa is gradually destroyed. In front of the palate there was a splendid lake which reflected its beauty. Today, there is a giant square, in the style of place Tien Amen. The militars, the police force and the cameras of monitoring are everywhere. To have this sight of Potala, it is necessary to go up on the roof of Jokang Temple and to take this view, removing all it is horrible of the image… PS- I am a simple photographer, but want learn a little of Digital Art. What of differents softwares (Photoshop, Terragen, Brice, VUE …) can to transform it and give more impact? What you sugest? Thank you has all your interest and your wonderful comments!

Impressive, to say the least. The scenery could not be created any better in any 3d program. And it is nice to read, that dreams we had as children come true. Superb photograph. Concerning your question: To me it is a matter of budget, for photo or other postwork Photoshop by Adobe sure is the best, but expensive for amateurs. There are also programs like Photo Impact by Ulead ( easy to use, with great effects) or Paint Shop Pro by Corel ( functions like Photoshop with layers etc. and alot of photoshop add ons can be used, too. Cornerning 3D to me there are two programs outstanding Poser for figures and Vue d'Esprit for landscapes. Bryce and Terragen are sure alternatives, but concerning plants possibilities are limited. For all you have to calculate also buying some additional content to really use them. Vue is available as free trial version just to learn by the way.

Quite a magnificent scene. It's a shame modern politics must erode the wonders of centuries of history.

A stunning photo. And very sad what has happened in this country to these people, and to the beautiful things that have been so coldly and callously destroyed in an effort to demoralize and destroy this culture.

A little work in Photoshop to clean up the grim that digital cameras give to the image and then bringing oout the colours through levels and a little contrast adjustments in curves. It is sad that China is afraid of such a small country but then so is the US with Cuba. I marvel at the wonderful places yo have visited and what your eyes have seen, what you have tasted and smelled are experiences of a lifetime. Have a great week. Thank you for shairing. egmont

wooow i dont think you would need Vue or Bryce or anything because your photo is amgnificent! you are in a very beautiful place and a real good eye for catching this amazing pictures! maybe photoshop would be a good tool for you like a "digital darkroom" but since you are in a proviliged place i doubt you would need Vue at all , lol, no kidding your art is awesome! Congrats.

Beau! Merci beaucoup pour cette image! Terragen and Bryce are awesome landscape programs. Bryce can also do figures, but I'm not sure how. Photoshop is one of my favorite programs, however it does not render. You can put a pre-existing image in to it and enhance it there. If that's what you're looking for, I highly suggest Photoshop. I myself couldn't live without ^_^
