Description

Hi everybody, This image was created using Vue and Photoshop. It portrays a time of dirt, grime and industry. The kind of place I grew up in. Although there was always woods, lakes and streams available for adventure too. Industrial places often seemed as desolate as the rural ones in those days. People had jobs and were inside working. The streets were much quieter during the day than they are now. Industry truly happened rather than just be talked about in the "How we can save it by closing it" sort of way. I did this picture using VUE. See my web site HERE . I do an occasional Newsletter to keep people informed - There's a FREE model of a Mayan pyramid for every newsletter subscriber. There are pictures on my site that aren't see anywhere else. Details of my YOUTUBE CHANNEL are there too. This picture was produced using VUE and Photoshop. dmrc_enabled_wbtn.gif

Nice image Peter, certainly depicts the dirty industrial age..but I am surprised not to see any figures here. You're so good at that. Still glad to see you posting.

Sometimes it's best to know when to leave something out. The age of smoke and steel seemed to drive itself - the engines where alive. It was often quite desolate back then in spite of the industry. The factories where bee-hives inside, but outside was often a different story. I wanted to portray that quiet power.

Peter, you did a truly marvelous job on this highly detailed image. I also have a love for this type of setting, that comes from my childhood. For me there is nothing more fascinating that the old locomotives, and being nearby when one takes off.

I like the atmosphere..it reminds me of the stories I grew up with rather than something depressing. And there is something magic about trains!

An excellent atmosphere you created. The loc is called a "Pansy". They were in service at the Great Western Railway. I once started to build such a loco as a 5" model, but I did not finish it.

Nice work as always with the old industrial factories in the background it sort of reminds me of the Pink Floyd's Animals album cover.

Fantastic job. The whole heavy industrial atmosphere is perfect. There looks like there was once an old walking path which has been cut off by the tracks and then later a fence. The old ways of traveling plowed over by the might of industrialization.

Normally I'm not one for watermarks but one is so subtle as this I don't mind at all. Brilliant job capturing that industrial age feel here. As always, your details look amazing. Awesome!
