ok... looking threw the read me.... it sends me to the daz page: http://www.daz3d.com/pages/faq/faq.html this page sends me here: http://www.daz3d.com/pages/faq/answers/victoria/v3redisdribute.html which intern sens me here: http://www.daz3d.com/pages/faq/answers/victoria/addons.html Which is a Victoria 2.0 addon faq. Sooo... im basically going to take it how DAZ is making it look. 1) The distribution rights are the same as before with the prior 2 victoria's. 2) If you strip a cr2 clean and place your CUSTOM morphs into the Cr2 then your not breaking any rules on it. IF a Daz Member would please show up and give some input on it if there meaning elsewise, it would be apreciated, but until then, i'll have to take it as it appears.
I got April by VisualSilence and they used the same MorphInjection like DAZ. All I did was loading V3 and insert the Head- and Body Morphs for April. You could inject your custom morphs, you just need to put the Geometrie into the Morpose and rename a Morph that is already in V3, otherwise it did not work. I've did that with my Aiko character - takes some time but it's worth it.

ok... im gonna say this once ;) I totally 100% with out a doubt in my mind, hate, dispise, dislike Morph Injectors. therefore i refuse to use morph injectors for my own morphs. People complain all the time about there folders getting too cluttered, well... morph injectors are just cluttering it with more folders (expecially Vicki 3 egads...)

I just opened her Cr2 in WordPad and found this: // --- // --- Begin Community // --- targetGeom PBMCC_01 { name - initValue 0.00 hidden 1 forceLimits 1 min -10000 max 10000 trackingScale 0.02 keys { static 0 k 0 0 } interpStyleLocked 0 } targetGeom PBMCC_02 Is this what you meant with open channels for custom morphs?

Here is the actual wording in the Read-me. I'm under the impression that there isn't anything about this on a FAQ page (yet). ********************************************************** **PLEASE NOTE: The Victoria 3 mesh and morphs are proprietary. These morphs CANNOT be redistributed in whole or part, either as injection poses(as purchased) or as deltas within a CR2 file. For information on how to legally distribute Victoria 3 derivatives or add-on products, please visit our FAQs page.
I'm getting to know the V3 CR2 like th eback of my hand, I've been in it so many time. ;-) There are 20 channels for injection morphs reserved for DAZ "PBMDC" is the full body prefix, but there are equlivient ones for all the parts, 10 for the community "PBMCC". DC = DAZ channel, CC= community channel, I'd guess. I'm thinking about adding 10 or so "DDC" reserved just for me to Glamorous Vickie. (DDC = Digital Dreams). The empty cannels don't take up any (at least not much) space or anything.

That's not what it says on the FAQ page on their site. It says: "The Victoria 2 and Vicki 2 P4 Cr2 files (both included in the Victoria 2 product) cannot be redistributed in whole or in part." Further, it says: " It is legal, however, to redistribute the original Victoria 1 Cr2 file and the Vicki2P4 LE Cr2 file, which we have provided for use by those interested in distributing Victoria-derivative products for use by those already owning either Victoria 1 and/or Victoria 2." I believe the same is true for Vicky 3. You can not distribute the Cr2 files. (though it would be good to hear one way or another from a Daz rep.)
We are in the midst of publishing an FAQ of this issue on our website, we apologize for not having it out sooner. But for what's in question here: Yes, the Victoria 3.0 cr2's (prior to morph injection) are redistributable for use in creating and/or distributing products that complement Victoria 3. There are some things that developers will need to be aware of in developing competing products, just as with Victoria 2.0, etc. but this will be addressed more in the FAQ as well, so I won't throw my limited knowledge at that right now. We appreciate everyone who has helped handle this thread, we'll try to keep more on top of the forums, but it is hard sometimes :/ The fastest route to get an answer is to email us directly. Either at tech@daz3d.com or sales@daz3d.com, depending on the issue at hand. Thanks, Steve Kondris DAZ Productions, Inc.
Well, there are two common misnomers about DAZ: 1.) That DAZ Studio will cure cancer. 2.) That we never miss an email. But seriously, 9 times out of 10 that's the fastest way to get an answer, though our tech guy has been swamped ever since the holidays. We're doing what we can to help alleviate his heavy workload. I apologize for the delay in his response, the FAQ will be up just as soon as we can get it all proofed and dot the i's. Thanks for your patience with us, Steve Kondris DAZ Productions, Inc.
Use V3 Blank or make your own injector to one of the community channels if you have created a completely new morph from mesh manipulation (an injector will be easier for users, so is probably required for a commercial offering); if you create a character with the available morphs then either make a regular MOR pose and tell people which morphs to inject first or supply INJ/REM poses (again, the latter would reasonably be expected from a commercial product).
You can distribute the V3-sr1.cr2 so long as you have not injected any morphs into it. (I'd checked this out a while back.) V3 Blank is best if you've created your own injectable morphs and put new morph channels in. If you have a character that will need some of V3's morphs injected in, the V3-sr1 is the better one to use. (This might happen if your character has proprietary morphs that you created and put into the .cr2 file, but you also want people to inject some of the DAZ morphs as well.) I created an AnimeDoll-V3 hybrid - AnimeDoll's head on V3's body - a while back. I put up instructions on how to put the mesh together and was allowed to redistribute the combined .cr2 (both MayaX and DAZ gave permission) which allowed AnimeDoll's head morphs to work and V3's body morphs to be injected. If all you want to do is have a set of DAZ V3 morphs injected in to specific settings, an INJ file would be best. (And the corresponding REM file to yank the morphs and settings out afterwards.) Hope that helps.
Actually, your not allowed to distribute V3, the blank one is really for clothing . ;-) I just used the V3 SR1 blank for the very first time for one of my new items (a V3 dress), I did notice a couple things: It still has the Body channels that should have been removed (the are on the remaining parts), it also has the Inverse Kinematic lines that must be removed from clothing. It also isn't zeroed, if you use it make sure you conform the clothing, then zero with the Joint Editor and Memorize it. There are no empty channels to recive any of the DAZ body or head morphs, incidently, so if you use it for a character you couldn't add any DAZ morphs, not even to make her smile.
My new product will be similar to IT.A.02: http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=10788 IT.A.02 is a character make with 2 figures in conforming !! The new product will be create with victoria 3 Blank. The v3-sr1.cr2, when i save it as pz3 and reload it, i see all PBMCC, DD channel) grrrrr :-( with my new product i have create a morph target, but i can't load the inj morph on v3 blank, and how i have create my product is a "bit" difficult ;-) replace it with v3-sr1.cr2 ... is there a way for load inj morph in v3 blank ? I working with mac OS9 thx; Andygraph
