Catharina Przezak suggests that we 'observe' how things develop here.. while also continuing to support whatever site Jack and Ed come up with. Probably a pretty good solution. Most of us however, think collecting our info for your 'corporate' uses is pure bullshit. You say that the 'Store' could pay for running this site. What I want to know is: If I buy Catharina's texture at your store, can you guarantee me that you won't use ANY of my info. I don't care what 'innocent' reasons you might be 'spinning' now. I don't want my info used... period. I've already 'opted out' of getting email updates. Well? Do you want my business or not? If I don't get a response I'll just buy it from her direct. We've been in contact and I feature her on the 3DThrills greeting cards and screensavers.

Bossco ( ) posted Thu, 21 September 2000 at 4:34 PM

Now I have seen everything .Dillinger anti-spam ?Dillinger questioning the ways of capitalism ? Is this the same person who used to summon all manner of foul language to defend sludgenet's 'anything-for-the-almighty-dollar' spam tactics ?? You're one person I don't mind telling 'I told you so' :^)

Dillinger ( ) posted Thu, 21 September 2000 at 4:43 PM

Oh yeah .. another request... could you enable some sort of 'turd filter' for the useless, annoying scumbags who contribute nothing and who become obsessed with certain 'dudes' and follow them around?

Bossco ( ) posted Thu, 21 September 2000 at 5:10 PM

Canned non-response #37. not surprised Still I've enjoyed watching your flip-flop. I guess you have cause to be bitter now that your free banner has been removed from the top of the page. Admit it ,dill ,you only use renderosity as a vehicle to advertise your website .why else would you start EVERY thread in the forums with a tactless link to your site ?

Dillinger ( ) posted Thu, 21 September 2000 at 5:27 PM

You jackass I never said a word defending 'spam' Go back and read the threads and you'll see I was supporting the Renderosity store when you last pushed your pus filled head into my business. Yeah my banner is gone, so what? I'm still here talking about the store.. just like the last time I was here, you ignorant dipshit Continue your whining now.. or go back to sucking your father's cock.. it's up to you.. but I'm done lowering my standards to speak to you Moderators.. move this thread to 'complaint and debate' if you want.. but I won't go there to read your response. I abandoned that forum because it's so full of shiteaters like Bossco... so if it's moved there.. you'll have to email me if you want my 'Store' business.

The private info required to process Credit Card transactions in the Store is never stored in a database. That's why it has to be re-entered each time.

Eshal ( ) posted Thu, 21 September 2000 at 10:38 PM

Dillinger and Bosco, Your argument is yours but if you want to be foul mouthed and insult each other for all you are worth please take it to the complaint and debate froum or email instead of continuing what did start out as a sensible topic in this forum. No-one visiting these forums for whatever reason should be subjected to such bad behaviour. Remember minors visit here as well as adults, so please take a little consideration into account when things heat up. Regards Eshal

I'm a genetically enhanced blonde...what's your excuse? ~Eshal~

Dillinger ( ) posted Thu, 21 September 2000 at 10:44 PM

Are you blind jackass? I said I don't go to that forum because of constantly being bothered by turds like Bossco there. You're right.. just like all my threads, it started off nice until a scumbag came in and started some shit. They should ban useless garbage like him who continually creates trouble. By the way, mind your own business This forum has traditionally used language worse than mine.. and by the administrators. Are you so stupid that you think kids can't click on the Complaint and Debate forum?

Bossco ( ) posted Thu, 21 September 2000 at 11:39 PM

Now that's the foul mouthed Dillinger we've all come to know . Thanks .I was wondering if someone had stollen your handle :^)

naga ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 1:17 AM

Dillinger, This forum is everyone's business (It is public after all.). Your descent into name calling is ridiculous. Violence, even verbal, is the last refuge of the incompetent and the first of the stupid. Which are you?

Dillinger ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 1:28 AM

You're the moron who doesn't know the difference between verbiage and violence. I'd say you're both incompetent and stupid... ..especially when you think that butting into my affairs is your business. I'm sick of dickless little cowards like you. The final proof of your worthlessness is the fact that you composed a post based on your unwanted opinion that 'name calling is bad'... and then called me names.

KenS ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 2:45 AM

Dillinger, Heya, I dont really know you, and Im sure you really dont know me, that aside, being one of the moderators here, and a usually easy to get along with guy, could you please try being a little less hostile in your posts? As Eshal stated, sometimes minors view these posts, and I know those same minors can just as well goto the complaint and debate forum as the team contact forum. I have no personal beef with you, so please dont take this post as such. Just please try and tone it down a little. Thanks for your time, Ken

How do you guys feel about a member vote on the topic of banning Dillinger from the community based upon his anti-social behavior?

PJF ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 7:20 AM

Nah, that's too much like a public lynch mob. You executives have set the rules, and you should be the ones who decide what action to take against those who break them. My personal view is that with passions the way they are right now, I thinks it's best to cut people some slack for a while. Especially with accusations of facism flying around.

Dillinger ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 7:29 AM

Fuck you too Tim Shove your community up your ass I'm not interested in living up to your expectations... or those of the nosy little cocksuckers who cling to my activities like so many unwanted dinkleberries. (here's where a dimwit jumps in to say: "Well... that's because you're an asshole!")

LoboUK ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 7:33 AM

Either ban him and stand by your decision, or don't and stand by that one. Don't try to whip up public approbation for someone who's simply posting in anger - that way will lead to a very ugly scene (exactly as PJF says) and set a precedent you may not want followed smiley83.gif

Dillinger ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 7:34 AM

Hey Tim... you'd better not assign so much importance to this 'public vote' idea that you're trying to fly in a desperate attempt to fool people into thinking that you're not such a money grubbing slimeball. (such as your phony claim that you will 'assign' the URL to the PFO) If you were to abide by any 'votes'.. the membership would probably insist that you have "asswipe" tatooed on your forehead. All in favor say Aye

kjlintner ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 8:49 AM

Arguments come and arguments go. This stuff happens all of the time. When I was a sysop of a crappy little 1 line BBS, this stuff happened. Personalities clash, people spout delighfully creative vulgarities, the pure of heart cover their eyes and go "oh my", and the rest of us enjoy a good laugh at the expense of human nature. This too shall pass....

JanP ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 9:23 AM

Well, I do think that Dill should go stuff a pickle in is mouth for a while but I'd have to say that I think the disagreement with Ed and Jack was bad on the admins part. I mean trying to steal property that is not wholey your to begin with shame on you guys. I've noticed that the site's speed really sucks now. I guess you guys have a crappier server or have changed something. Small downloads take forever now. What ever Ed and Jack come up with can only surpase what they already built up with Renderosity. You can't ban anybody forever as I am here aren't I? So, don't waste your time and our time with this stupid vote. Very childish it is. Frankly if minors read bas stuff here so what? Just look at the thumbnails full of nudes. Noboys gonna close you down because some idiots bad language was read by a kid but they will close you down for having images not suitable for children and not blocking children out. I agree about the private info. I did not authorize any use of my info when I signed on and I shall never authorize its use. BTW by law you cannot use any of my info without my permission and my membership does not automacally qualify as an authorization. As for Dill posting links to his site Are all you members idiots or something? There are plenty of members here who do exactly the samething so shut up. Theree is nothing wrong with posting a website link. Hell didn;t ypou know that at least one link here(search "dirty" is to a porno site made with all these free props and some figures? True useing material without permission is bad but links to potentially useful 3D sites is not a bad thing at all. Have you guys forgotten about the bar to your right wityh links to not free model sites? Get over it already and shut up. Clearly the admin is only a college aged kid otherwise he wouldn't have put up that vote on Dillenger thing. JanP(and a few othernames too) You don't really have 29,000 members. Hehe!!!!!

nostromo ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 9:23 AM

OK, so maybe the language ain't too hot, maybe it could be toned down, but hey, who am I to say what's right 'n' wrong in this. I don't think the public vote is too hot an idea, like someone else said earlier; "Arguments come and arguments go... This too shall pass" Let it ride guys, let the profanity pass you by and just get on with life. That's my 2 cents worth.

Syyd ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 9:38 AM

I happen to know Dillinger through Renderosity and email, and work we have done together. He was instrumental in getting people who were posting here, into screensavers that are viewed now all over the internet, he gave us a chance to get our work seen. I dont agree with the language, but obviously see an extremely angry individual, who seems pushed into a corner somehow. Never at any time, have I heard of someone being publically put on trial! Why can't this just die down, and people go their separate ways? I chose to keep the body of my art intact here at Renderosity, as I feel personally, artists have the right to post wherever they please, its about the art, and Renderosity is the largest online graphics community. Public Trial is not acceptable! If you feel you have to ban someone, it should be done privately. I am sure everyone's ire is about as up as it is going to get, but this is not the way to lead a new community. Its going to scare the hell out of everyone, so they fear ever posting to a forum again. I think you must weigh the needs of the whole, against publically flogging the one, and setting him up as a pariah to the rest of us. Fear is unhealthy. Thanks for listening, and please don't ban me, I've been here a long time. Syyd

Marque ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 10:24 AM

Rather than banning someone, just ignore him. I think a vote is a bad idea as this is supposed to be an area where we can voice our opinions. My opinion of people who spew profanity is that they are obviously too angry to realize that most people just ignore it and move on. Good points have been made... -most kids these days use profanity like a second language. -the nudity is an issue here, don't bring up children when you have blatent nudity on the site and state that artists should be free to express themselves. Maybe Renderosity does have 29,000 members, I don't really care, I just wish everyone would get past this and get on with creating again. I intend to visit all of the sites regularly, including this one. The business of running the site should never have been brought to the forum, or to the members. That was bad, and it split the community up and made people feel like they were traitors. Doesn't anyone remember how this happened before? There will always be people coming here, new and old. And there will always be people going to the other sites, new and old. I don't authorize anyone to use my information anywhere. If people don't want to support the store, don't buy there, but don't expect that if I see something I want there that I will pass it up. I don't look at it as supporting the store, I look at it as getting something I need that may not be available anywhere else. I'm not voting on Dillinger, I'm ignoring him. 'Nuff said, Marque

Ok Now I've seen it all. 1) Dillinger any asshole like you can use foul language, not impressive. 2) There are young adults here that dont need to hear about you and your fathers sexual acts 3) IF YOU DON'T LIKE RENDEROSITY OR IT'S CURRENT ADMIN. THEN DONT COME BACK!!! START YOUR OWN SITE, SHOOT YOURSELF, PLAY WITH YOURSELF, CRY. But if ya dont like it leave. Nobody made you come here. Now there's the answer. Easy wasn't it.

Tired ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 12:58 PM

Rule One of Good Management. "Compliment publicly - reprimand privately." If you're going to ban anyone, then do it. If you're managing this site then take the responsibilty for it. Don't call upon a public vote to cover your butt. The Terms of Use are pretty simple, now enforce them, or don't.

BigSerge ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 1:32 PM

BigSerge says this, people use vulgar language over the phone, (BY EMAIL!etc...). Amazing how some will crawl in a pair of boots if they where to say or express their selves to one another face-to-face/eye-to-eye (without any life threatening weapons). They most likely would not dare, unless you've been a bouncer for 5years+ and have seen and heard it all (IN YOUR FACE), the thought has crossed my mind after reading this comical CRAP!! of name calling, button pushing etc... to see the 2 of you repeat those same words in front of one another (I am on the floor rolling). I feel as if I should be putting someone in a full nelson to keep you from ripping each others heads off. Again I guess i would not be since it's just words that would not be express If you were standing face to face now would you?. Serge has 2 words that stands boldly in his dictionary (LOVE and PEACE), and some of you are correct Admin do as you please the community should not be involved and yes the nudity/adult content of some of the art work is far worst then just mere words flying around. So everyone just take a chill pill and feel the flow of love and peace around you Love and Peace Folks, Love and Peace Serge

well i don't agree with ay vote, nor the way Dill likes to represent himself,, if you take him off or bann him for what he siad,, then your violating his rights ( remember the right to free speech?) and what about free speech on the net? i thought you could say what you want to say with out getting arrested or Banned for it. the time will come when all of you get bored with his verbal abuse. As for a vote i tend to agree with some of the members, if he violated the terms of service the its up to the Admins to cutt him off,,don't ask the members to vote on it. You took RSO away from Jack and Ed, and want to run Rso yourself,,so do it, stop whining over what some person is saying about RSO, website, your art work, ect.. and just get on with creating stuff you like. if we all worried about what others say we nevr get anything done. As for Dill and Bassco, maybe there in love and just don't know it. ( fat chance) but you 2 guys do need to settle down,, your actin like kittens who can't get enough of the mamas tit. share the milk.

liteluvr ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 2:34 PM

Sounds like ol' Dill has some definite deficiencies in the 'Social Interaction Skills department', not to mention the 'How to effectively use the English Language' department. It's obvious that he has a gripe about something, but it's hard to weed out the profound from the profane. I can cuss a blue streak with the best of 'em... but there's never a need for that around here. As for the black-ball... last time I checked my account status, it didn't show me as an 'admin', so suck it up boys, and make the hard calls. That's what being behind the wheel is all about... Jack and Ed knew that. If you're the guy in charge (or gal... sorry ladies..), then it's your decision to make. Geez... you'd NEVER make a good Starfleet Captain.... :o)

You ousted us without a "trial"... Do me a favor, stand up and GROW A PAIR, stop using this Community to hide behind for any decisions you feel need made on this site. This is just pitiful. A public trial? Please! Tim, you asked: < How do you guys feel about a member vote on the topic of banning Dillinger from the community based upon his anti-social behavior? > Looks to me like the overwhelming response here has been against a public trial, yet I see you have instigated one. Why? I agree with the prevalent opinion here. If you are going to run this site, then have the balls to do it! Diane

Said I wouldn't post here, but a friend told me to check this out, and I couldn't pass it up... This is truly PATHETIC. "Public Trial"... Uhm... what's the point...? What's up Tim? Trying to prove that you are actually working for the community by making an example of one person? Guess what... Examples only work if EVERYONE is made an example... That means that you'd have to go through every bit of this with every person that says even the mildest profanity, otherwise, this will just get chalked up to you playing around and taunting people with your new found "ban button". Hell (come on, do the public trial thing, please...), all you are doing with this is proving that you don't care about the community. If you did, you wouldn't try a smear compaign to try and humiliate Dillinger (which has obviously backfired and resulted in you shooting yourself in the foot...)

Dillinger ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 5:26 PM

It sure feels good to be merely 'controversial'.. as opposed to being unanimously considered a dickless coward. I actually feel sorry for you Tim. You're just a clueless fool who hasn't got the slightest idea of how to run a business.. or a forum. What disgusts me more than Dickless Tim, are the repulsive snotsuckers who think they have a right to tell me how to express myself. Go into any of my threads where some scumbag hasn't come in and disrupted it. No problem there. Productive, creative, helpful. I can understand someone not liking my methods of dealing with turds.. what is inexcusable is the filthy scum among you who think that I'm obligated to behave a certain way.. simply because that is how YOU like to behave. I don't give a fuck what YOU like or want. I hope those sickening little pussies all get cancer. Sorry for interrupting Tim... I hope I didn't distract you too much?

PJF ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 5:56 PM

Dillinger, did you end up buying from the store? I was just wondering as things seem to have taken a rather different turn now. Not that I wish you to think I'm making an unwarranted enquiry into your private affairs. That doesn't seem to be much appreciated. ;-) Gosh, just think. This thread almost died by itself when you got the info you needed and politely replied. But luckily the admin decided to make a big issue out of it, and so we can start the weekend on a real rollercoaster ride. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Dillinger ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2000 at 6:01 PM

Scottland? crapy? What.. are you in the second grade? Renderotica? Over an animation depicting Dickless Tim preparing the floor for painting while his friend Bruce stirs the paint? I'd also like to correct your term 'little looser'. This is a common mistake made by morons. What you are trying to call me is a 'little loser'. 'little looser' refers to the progressive daily state of Dickless Tim's nether regions

So there was a big show trial (from what I understand), and Dillinger was banned (from what I understand), it was a vote of either 55 or 129 that got him banned (from what I understand). Reality check people... you too can be banned with a vote from less than 1% of the members! Last time I checked, you needed a majority vote to pass a motion in a democracy. Seems to me that Dillinger was gonna get banned regardless, just that Edgenet wanted to make a big play of "simply responding to community pressure". That way their hands are clean and there are no come-backs on Edgenet. After all, people, it was us that voted to ban Dillinger - wasn't Edgenet's decision. No sir, no way - they were only following orders. (Now where have I heard that excuse before?) God in Heaven people, which of us haven't flown off the handle at someone here, which of us haven't used bad language? Is this the way forwards - a community that publically humiliates and castigates those members who disagree with the party line? Which of you fine people are next? Do you still have the right, the freedom to speak your mind on this site? Do you? Or is there that less than 1% lining up ready to stick you into the next show trial for daring to speak your mind? And remember, these posts aren't censored - but where is the "trial" of Dillinger? It seems to have dissappeared into the cyber-ether that's waiting to swallow up all posts here that refuse to toe the party-line. And where is my post asking if the election of moderators will be open and free, or if it will be a closed vote. That seems to have gone the way of the dodo too. I really hope you're having fun - 'cause you could be next Paul
