Subject: Daz studio 1.0 and dynamic clothing

Is it possible that DAZ studio cannot importe correctly clothify dress when importing pzz files with this kind of cloth posing on Victoria(for example)?I have tried two times :the cloth is there but just like it was not clothify(zero posing)?

As far as I know the cloth motion plug in for DAZ Studio is not for sale yet.

If it even exists. Some kind of dynamic cloth tool for D|S is an obvious thing to do, but I don't think DAZ have even hinted that they are working on one (there was a mysterious Weight parameter showing up at one stage, but I suspect that would be more likely to be connected to the joint system than dynamics).

All I know is that the deformer, while it is a bit funky to get used to, is pretty sweet, and the IK is better than poser's. I think tomorrow is going to be a bright and shiny new day for Daz Studio.

I also hope that they will do a dynamic clothing plug-in and also a dynamic hares and a collision detection and a wind and and and.. Lets wait for the future but it is difficult to wait when you have this super DazStudio tool available.

Tnanks .I understand that Daz studio haven't a dynamic clohing plug-in .But i thought it was able to import a Poser file where one frame has a caracter with a dress being fitted using Poser clothify system. Now i can see :it cannot...sorry!!One thing i like in Daz studio is it cartoon rendering system and its link with Bryce 5,5.But i have Poser 6 and Vue infinite anyway

You should be able to import it if you prepose the character and do the simulation in Poser, then export the clothing as an object and reimport before saving the scene. The clothing wouldn't be dynamic anymore, but if you're only doing a still scene it would be the best way to do it.

You can use the Group toll within Poser to convert the end result of the simulation into a prop, too. You can also turn the end results into morphs (several people have done that) to make a multi-morphed prop that can be adapted to a range of poses. I read your original question as being from someone without access to Poser - sorry.

thanks for suggestions.I will try during the week. RHaseeltine:can you just say a few words about what is Group toll or the page number where i can find it in poser manual?

Info on the Grouping tool can be found on page 209 of the P5 reference manual, or page 205 of the P6 reference manual.
