I see you have nice bright orange containers for your bits. in the center left you can see the addaptor that would fit them to a drill or dremel tool. As for the bit themselves, I am not quite sure. You have some standard screw bits on the right side, but in the middle and left it gets a bit more exotic. I will hazzard a guess that they are for leather or wood work, or even perhaps for etching metal and glass. Or I could be totally wrong...
Kort Kramer - Kramer Kreations
I see that TwoPynts noticed the latest WoE investigation and observed,
you have nice bright orange containers for your bits
Yes ... those do a very good job of keeping the bits organized by size
and keeping them from running around loose or hiding in the tool bag.
There are another two pieces of plastic (not shown) that cover the
business ends of those bits.
standard screw bits on the right side
Right ... those are just there ... part of the picture ... not actually part of the exercise.
in the middle and left it gets a bit more exotic.
Yeah ... aren't they cute?
I will hazzard a guess that they are for leather or wood work,
or even perhaps for etching metal and glass.
Sorry, No, No, No, No, and No.
Please feel free to guess again.

p.s. I'll show individual bits, if you ask ... as if that would help [evil grin]
They are an extension for special screws (Star & Hex & die or something similar , My memory evades me atm) But yeah there usually used for electronic equipment or for tamper proofing objects!
Crosses Fingers this isin't gonna drag lke the Button one , Heh heh)
The plastic bit is probaly a Ratchet , Although me n Tool's don't mix
I see that ColdWarTendencies gave the first correct guess,
tamper proofing
... and that girsempa gave an excellent answer by responding,
tamper proof security bit set
... even identified that both SAE and metric pin hex bits were present!
As these answers were just 2 minutes apart, I think we need a special ruling from TwoPynts about what to do next ... ???
Perhaps both ColdWarTendencies and girsempa could offer an especially evil joint submission. Just kidding ... maybe ...
Congratulations are in order

p.s. The tool industry now calls this class of bits "Tamper Resistant" instead of "Tamper Proof" ... example#1, #2, #3 (snake eye bits)...
Am not gonna argue , We shall both post GirSempa , 2 challenges , besides , I really can't decide atm ,
I also used to work withing the electric's industry (Small time apart from helping friends with various job's)
By the way ..,.. Love your abandoned factory series GirSempa ;) I oughta take more of the general area rather than just the graffiti
Now what to take & where to explore next Grins
Muagghhhh maybe we could collaborate on a montage Mix up :p
Greetings to girsempa,
Based on the comments made by ColdWarTendencies, I went to your gallery to
see your "abandoned factory series" for myself.
Those are impressive images ... thanks.
As I reviewed your gallery, I wondered if you had ever viewed Jean Cocteau's
black/white film "Orphee (1950)" ... parts of that film were shot in ruined stone
buildings -- those setings were used to depect "The Zone" ...

@girsempa
Jean Cocteau's black/white film "Orphee (1950)" in the Criterion Colection, on Amazon;
... also as the Orphic Trilogy in the Criterion Collection and on amazon.
... you might be able to rent the DVD ...
@ JeffG7BRJ
Awww! I missed out on this one, thats what you get for lazing in bed.
I will keep my eyes open for the next one.
This one ran fast ... only about 100 minutes. I don't think you want to sleep
next to your PC and with one eye open at all times.
@all ...
Here is a nice set from Sears, Wiha 39 pc. Bit Set ... but a different set and more
expensive than one I bought there.
Tools = fun

Additional followup ...
You can see the Enkay Screw Bit Holder ... and other great stuff on the Enkay Products Page.
I bought some of my security bits (but not the ones that were in the image that started
this thead) by visiting Tamperproof Screw Co. of NY -- you don't want to try to get into
something secured with those products without the right bits. ... the "Breakaway Nut /
Non-Removable Security Nut" are an especially nasty item.
Note photo interest ... nice photos of small items.

I see that ColdWarTendencies found something that,
Shouldnt be at all difficult
Riiiiiight ...
BTW, did you make sure that JeffG7BRJ is online ... I know that he wanted to play.
It's not bricks and mortar ... the bonds aren't right ... it's not laid in an ashlar pattern
... also not English Bond; or other brickwork pattern.
I see blocks; I see what might be boxes ... from the bottom, it could be a box with
2 blocks; then 2 blocks; then another box (container) with 2 blocks; and another
2 blocks above; and possibly the lower edge of another box (container).
Maybe chicklets (chewing gum) in blister packs ...
I know! ... It's 6 gold bars in protective packaging.
If I'm right, you can send me one ... I'll give you my address ... later.

I was thinking the same about bricks and chewing gum, could it be a brick and chewing gum wall?
I wonder why convert to B&W, would the colour give it away? and being in focus give it away?
I don't think it's buttons on a keypad or mobile phone, it's too uneven to be steps or is it?
I'll be back when I've answered some ebots.
I see that JeffG7BRJ has both his PC and his mind online,
I was thinking the same about bricks and chewing gum
It's not all that unlikely ... I have seen brick walls that looked as
if they were held together with chewing gum.
@JeffG7BRJ, have you tried using Skype? (free! PC to PC phone calls).

What I'm looking for here is the name of the entire object, not just "crystal" or the specific type(s) of crystal.
So, WOE?
-Melen
PS: The only thing done to this was levels and shrunk. No cropping or anything like that was done.
Thanks for the welcome. I've actually lurked here for a long time, but I've not been very social. I'm trying to correct that, especially because there's such a great group of people here.
Not looking for the type of crystal/gem, but the name for the entire object (that contains the crystal, etc). I'll give a hint in a bit if noone gets close.

Quote - Is it a geode?
--
Martin
Darn! I thought it was going to be tougher. :)
Yes, it's a geode. Me and the wife found a neat little place in Upstate New York while driving around looking for photo opportunities. It's called the "Natural Stone Bridge and Caves" located at http://www.stonebridgeandcaves.com/ . We had a couple geodes cut, and a couple popped.
Anyways, on to you, Martin.
-Melen
I see that Melen mentioned a place in the Adirondacks,
called the "Natural Stone Bridge and Caves"
I used Google maps and found that is near Brant Lake.
I attended Camp Reed, a Boy scout camp ... and that's also near Brant Lake.
That brought back fond memories ... Thanks.

p.s. small world.
Thanks Jeff.
I put the next What On Earth [WoE]? into a new thread,
"What On Earth [WoE]? Feb 24, 2008 Sunday Evening ..."
Good luck and have fun.

This one will involve any trickery ... in fact, you are seeing a range of examples.
I am hoping that one (or more) of you will know what these are ... what makes them a little special ... a little different.
So ... Please tell me, What on Earth???
Good luck ...
