Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 14 12:25 pm)
Quote - Hmm, ok so far, not actually opened Poser yet, however, one interesting thing I noticed is that your zip files all seem to have a file size of 0kb. This may lead folk to think they haven't downloaded properly. They have and everything works so it's something worth noting in future.
CHEERS!
Where does it say 0kb? Are you using Windows or Mac?

Quote - OK sorry... got the morphs working... didn't realise they were PMD format.... Daz studio can't use pmd's without a plug-in... i had to go digging to find the plug-in and get it working... anyone mind if i put the morphs out in daz format?
You guys need to tell me these things when you report problems. How was I to know/remember you're using Studio?
I have no objections to dazified morphs. I can't imagine Joel would mind, either.

CHEERS!
The dress and panties are, the shoes are smart props at the moment.. I will make them into conforming figures at some point. I just used the default cloth settings, if you wanna play around with different ones PhilC has some really nice setting preset freebies on his website.
Quote - Lmao.... sorry bout that... yeah i'm a daz user.. lmao... once i finish toying with my teen morph for her i'll put together a Daz morphs pack then... or maybe just a cr2 with all the morphs included... i can do either or both... if i do a cr2 i can even include all the figure morphs and stuff...
I don't think custom cr2s are a good idea at this point, since there'll be a few more releases of Antonia before the final one. But it's up to you, of course.

Hi everyone,
Thanks to all for their great work!
I'm trying the head morphs, but may be doing something wrong. It seems to me that when the lower jaw is rotated down, the tongue follows. Makes sense. But when I rotate the tongue up, the lower jaw follows as well. In other words I can't separate them. Is this intended, or am I doing something wrong?

Hi and welcome!
No, that's a bug. It's been pointed out before, but I haven't gotten around to fixing it.

Amazing that you do this so fast. Excellent!
It took me 2 months to make one eye. LOL
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

I'll keep it to a morph's pack for now then... maybe also toy around with some foot morphs for her while i'm playing with the other one i'm doing... give me few days and i'll see what i can come up with ;)

Zbrush is only $600
PhotoShop $600 you can use for 3D the $900 is for 3D
Zbrush and Photoshop are consider plugins
for the main 3D app's that cost $3000 to $7000 +I rest my case! I'm not made of money you know! I'm all over Antonia because she's free.
CHEERS!
The $600 is well worth Zbrush.
Thay could charge us $6000 for Zbrush.
The monatary price does not matter.
What matters is that we create are Art.
Even thou Antonia is free
She was not free to make I would estamate the
monatary develoment cost of Antonia is $50,000.00 +
But when your child is born you don't care what the hopital bill is.

I'm using Windows XP, the file size is correct now, but, when I first downloaded the zip and clicked on it the file size was definitely 0kb.

I've no wish to get into a protracted argument about this. I'm out of work and simply can't afford high end software. I raided my savings to get P7 and 8.

If you go into your Runtime in Windows and create a new folder in the Pose library, you can then add the morph to it in Poser. With the figure loaded, select the head. Open the new folder you created in you Pose library and click on the + button to add the morph to the library. This will bring up a dialogue box. Type in what you want to call the morph, obviously INJ will be added here. Click where it says Select Subset and when the box comes up listing all the actors, uncheck everything except the head and click OK. I think you'll then be asked if you want to add morph channels or body transformation, for which you add both. Then it'll ask whether it is single frame or animation, click single frame. After this, I think you either click OK again or it then adds the morph to the library as a .pz2 (It knows what you do.). Make sure the head is in a good position too as it'll add a .png to the library of whatever is in the window at the time.
For a REM pose load Antonia zeroed and do the above except naming the file as a REM and you'll have what you need.
That's how I do it anyway

Linked above is the text of the new head twist joint parameter I have been testing.
It can be loaded into the figure as a pose file, but you MUST then select the head, open the joint editor, select 'Turn', then disable and re-enable falloff zones, in order to refresh the neck twist.
I'm not saying that you should include the new JP in the next version. A radical change in a JP is a big step at this point in the proceedings. I am certainly no expert at JPs, there may be things I have overlooked, this comes with on guarantees. But I do hope that you will take a look at it, and give it consideration. To my eyes it looks like an improvement.
It works like this. Load two figures. Parent the first to the 'Fig A_1' prop, parent the second to the 'Fig B_1' prop. Select the 'ROT x2_1' prop. Set the 'separation' dial to about 0.05, this will move the two figures apart. You can now use the 'Y Spin' dial to rotate both figures at once.

Personally I use svdl's "SpawnCharacterP6 update" py script, and I highly recommend it! siple to use and free. One thing to watch out for though, when you are ready to create the INJ, remember to click the Generate button not the OK button.
P.S. I think Rogerbee1's suggestion from the previous page, only saves the dial value for the morph, not the deltas. Unless P8 has added a new feature that I have not heard of yet.
Quote - You're probably right, I've used it for all my freebies and nobody has complained, so it does work.
It will work to to set dial values, for morphs that have already been injected into the figure, eg the V4 ++ Pack, but it will not actually inject any morphs into the figure. Like I said, unless this is some new P8 feature, which I very much doubt.
lord-ghoul,

For a quick fix to the jaw moving with the tongue, select the jawLower, and from its properties set Bend off. This might have consequences if you scale the head, but otherwise should not cause any problems.

That's quite true, all my INJ's do is inject my dial settings into an already injected figure. It's what the majority of commercially available ones do, save maybe for those with custom morphs created in ZBrush and the like.
It'd be the same for Antonia if a morph was made using the JGL morphs.
CHEERS!
Poser has the "Spawn Morph" in it's drop-down list that creates a dial.
But it's getting the pz2 made and working right that bugs me...lol.
So far all my pz2 files do for her is create the parameter dial and I have to set it myself.
I want the morph to work without me having to twiddle the dials. :)
Let me introduce you to my multiple personalities. :)
BluEcho...Faery_Light...Faery_Souls.
Have you tried making the INJ and Rem files with "SpawnCharacterP6 update"? It is really easy to use!
I have a pic posted in my gallery here of antonia with the custom texture and character morphs i made... i also created a custom foot morph which changed the toes shape slightly (it moves the 3 middle toes out a little so that the first toe is just a smidge longer than the big toe and the rest curve in shorter to the baby toe)... check her out and let me know what you think... if you like her and the morphs and textures i'll see about putting them out for download...

Well I finally managed to get something right.
I used SpawnCharacterP6 update but it took three tries to do it right...lol.
And for the life of me, I don't know what I was doing wrong.
Now to finish the texture work.
Thanks all for the tips and help.

Good, but be aware that as this saves actual morph deltas, you can only distribute the files it produces if you own those deltas (eg your own custom morphs made from scratch in a modelling app, or with magnets), or if you are licensed to distribute them (eg antonia stuff under the Creative Commons licence).
BluEcho,
Quote - My Antonia morphs were made with magnets and the putty tool.
So I guess if she were a V4 I could still distribute them?
Unfortunately it is not always as simple as that.
Some figures load with one or more morphs already expressed. I remember that V2 loaded with a head morph expressed, and I think V3 loaded with an eye morph expressed. It's very easy to miss things like that, and include them in your own morphs by mistake.
Many figures these days have Joint Controlled Morphs. If your figure is not in a zeroed pose (usually different from the default pose), and you make an INJ, it is possible that you will include some of the JCM in your morph. It is even theoretically possible for a JCM to be expressed when the figure is in a zero pose. Whilst the morph police are hardly likely to break down your door because you occidentally included some JCM, these things can can corrupt you own morph, and lead to a less than optimal result.
If you are creating or exporting your morphs from within Poser; the sure fire way to be certain that your morphs are not corrupted is to start with a cr2 that has had all the morph deltas deleted from it!
I know this is a somewhat depressing answer, and only raises yet more questions. As the answers to those questions can be a bit long winded, perhaps this thread is not the best place to go into them, as it might take the thread too far off topic.
If you do custom morphs for DAZ characters, Daz requires you to distribute the .OBJ file as a vertex only .OBJ. If you do a character using a combination of DAZ morphs and your own, you have to separate the DAZ ones from yours and then use readScrpts in the PZ2 so that it injects both your custom morph and the DAZ dialed one(s) at the same time.
I was told to use the .obj vicky to start with that way you didn't get daz morphs.
With Antonia we can do what ever we want and not half to jump threw any hoops.
100% rather work with Antonai

Les, I just had a look at it. Great work! I'll definitely use that.
(The prop you posted is also very useful. Maybe in addition to rotating the parent prop with both figures on it would also be nice to have dials to rotate the figures in synch, but in place.)

[my emphasis] Hu!??? I thought that's what it did, "rotate the figures in synch, but in place"!
You sure you didn't read the instructions standing on your head?

P.S. The tracking scale is a bit low, I left it at the default, 0.004 or something. Should have set it to 1.0 or even 5.0. Best to type in the spin angle.

What do a Published Artist's products that scale body parts and dial morph++ have to do with Antonia vs Daz? You do realize we (the Daz Published Artists) don't work for Daz, we just broker our stuff there...
Sorry... I just have no idea how those products could be in any way related to Antonia... and Lyrra is a random PA, like myself, with no affiliation to Daz other than it's a brokerage the same as Rendo, RDNA, etc.

Yeah.. simple dynamic panties.. they're kinda ornery to work with.. I think I got then looking the nicest when I added all the polys to one of the groups, I think it was all constrained.. but they simulate pretty quick so don't take too long to try different options. They do fall to her ankles quite nicely. LOL
