Quote - you know, just when I have this brilliant response to a whole thread of dreadful drivel, the thread is locked. This usually happens when I'm bored out of my skull and have nothing better to do than read such bs. So in the aftermath, one has to spew crap at the thread...hey, my crap is as good as the crap that is aleready splayed out all over the web page.
So anyway, would someone please create another thread of drivel so I can respond with something deemed witty by me but not by anyone else ....
tanks
btw...I have fixed all the off TOS in my verse...I have no religion and I've given up on politics. as he slides into home ...............
Just blog it. Unlike the OT: Forum Rants, blogs don't get locked that I know of.

Blogs arent as much fun as locked threads, they give you nothing to complain about being locked.

Locked threads are great. The thrill of getting in under the wire, the excitement of watching the fight develop, the tension of seeing the discussion go downhill, the joy of name calling, the...

I predict they won't lock this thread until page 2.
anyway, here's a render of the stanford thai statue (from daz forum) in poser, so it's not OT anymore.
the part I liked was that the base is the feathered serpent god of the mayans, but it's from some thai temple apparently.
the carrara file was 144.7 MB and they said it loaded slowly, hence I tried it in poser instead.

No, 144 haggis is gross.

If my American Memory serves me at all I believe it's Sheep Intestines.....Similar to what we'd call "Chitlin's" in the south here.
ao I wasn't far off in my above thought. gag gag ...ralph
but then again, they wrap hot dogs in em and they're not bad. a bit chewy though

no, Haggis is a dish containing sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally simmered in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours. (Most modern commercial haggis is prepared in a casing rather than an actual stomach.) (thanks wiki)
i only eat the meaty parts .. no stringy , guts, or that kind of stuff, like stomach, intestines, livers, tongues, or lungs .... ralph...sorry...ralph...
damn, git me another bucket..QUICK..I'm about to choke up me inards

Why does all Scot's food sound like it's based on a dare!? - Saturday Night Live...;)
As for Southern-style- we have cracklins' (deep fried pork intestines)
Barbecue -(ranging from briscuit, mustard-based, dry-rubbed to NC 'pig in a blender'...actually, even the US gummint tried to classify barbecue and gave up...;)
Fried Twinkies, candy bars, etc.
The 4 Southern food groups; Salt, Sugar, Flour, and Lard...;)

Quote - Liver is nice, anyway I didn't think you were supposed to eat the casing of the haggis?
Liver is gross. Of course my Human Anatomy prof didn't help any when he held up the cadaver's liver, looked around and asked if anyone wanted lunch. Guy's brain had definitely been pickled by all the formaldehyde.
actually, liver and onions is pretty tasty. the thought of it isn't
my mom used to cook "giblets" all the time.... a bit chewy...but we also ate deer heart, tongue...my dad had "head cheese" made up. yuck a tosis. also blood sausage.
no wonder he died at 61

blah. Do you guys really eat that stuff??
We Scots have all manner of wonderful delicacies that are far better to eat while wearing a blindfold the first few times. Haggis is just the best known.
I remember a couple of years back seeing a professional chef being shown how to make traditional Black Pudding on TV. Half way through the process he rushed out of the kitchen of the woman who was demonstrating and threw up in her backyard.
Black pudding is a blend of onions, pork fat, oatmeal, flavourings - and blood (several litres, usually from a pig).
Haggis and Black Pudding are delicious. I've never been able to stand Tripe though. (That's the lining of a cow's stomach for those who don't know.)
Bon Appetit.
