Anyone else afraid to sign up at FGPlus for fear of being banned from DAZ? 

I break out in a cold sweat if I even click on the FGPlus URL.  I lie in bed at night afraid that somewhere someone saw me just visit the site yesterday and reported me to DAZ.

Everytime I get a DAZ PM I think it is my banning notice and my heart speeds up as I click on it with shaking hand, sweat dripping from my brow.

My whole social life would be forever ruined if I got banned from the DAZ forums.  The  social isolation and loniless would be almost unbearable.  Even the thought has terrfied me...I would probably eventually be forced to interract with walking talking people again  (Yuck)

I have to go and check in at DAZ and make sure I can still post there.  Also there might be a cool sale or a good fast grab that I don't want to miss.

This is one of those alarmingly bizarre threads that are in the absolute core of Poserdom.

It pays off dearly to lurk thru all those boooring threads approaching normality and then once in a while finding oneself wiping the morning tea off off the screen and keyboard. All hail the Bizarre Threads (tm)! IBTL.

Don't worry, I was banned more than one year ago (you don't campaign for adding scripting to Carrara without consequences) and even though I mailed them to stop pestering me with messages (I am not a spineless serf, if somebody treats me that way he makes me an enemy for life I do certainly not spend money with enemies) they kept telling me about their stuff. I haven't bought anything from them since but it was a dignity (a note for some people: check a thing called dictionary for an explanation of this unknown to you term) mandated choice of mine not something they imposed on me.

Just to give everybody an idea of the size and activity of that place, when you upload a "deviation" it stays in the front page (22 items) for less than 15 seconds; you can check by realoading the front page at intervals. There is - it's called being mature enough to ignore something by someone whose words you don't like. It's the same reason I don't need helper technology to ignore Rush Limbaugh's website, or the comment sections of dailykos.

How well does the PoserLux plugin work and will it work with P9 or P2012? I think I'm leaning towards 2012. Compaired to Reality how good or bad as this thing?

If I thought Daz was seriously focused on DS4 I'd stay, but I don't get that feeling.

Poser has grown a lot since P4.  Firefly has more capability and options; so do the lights.  The material room now has a repertoire of nodes which can do some neat tricks.  Dynamic clothing and dynamic hair have been added.

Galadriel has a HyperThreaded quad (core i7) with 12GB, so I know what this setup will do.  You'll need Poser Pro 2012 (rather than P9) in order to use that much RAM.  The hotlink shows an enviro set I'm working on;  it's all mesh out to the skydome (no billboards, no backdrop walls).  I don't know how many polys, but it's obviously a lot.
