Subject: problem with transparent walls

file_483374.jpg

as seen from the image using an external light source, the walls are almost transparent to light (shade of light to 1.000)

in view of the outer wall is invisible to afford to work.

There is possibility to solve the problem, otherwise it is impossible to use an external light.

thanks

i assume you use a single polygon facing inside the room. that means you backlit the polygon from the other side. i would highly recommend you use another polygon facing outside to ensure proper shadow casting. Backfacing polygons dont cast proper shadows...

its a design question...

you can probably try to reduce the minimum shading rate and increase the indirect lightning quality. but i dont think this would resolve the problem at all....

Can you put a square primitive back there to cast a shadow?

"Can you put a square primitive back there to cast a shadow ?"

it would be possible, but in many places the walls have a complex shape and then the frames of the windows have the same problem.
