Of course, the REALLY interesting issue here is not what individual members like, rather the issue of "lovemaps." As a psychologist, I really doubt that the preference for a particular physical trait is voluntary. So, bashing men who like big bosoms is about as productive as bashing girls who have small ones. Neither can do much about it on their own.

I dedicated- this render to ghelmer; and his unabashed joy in the beautiy of the female nude.

I think it's very interesting how Vic 4 and Posette both contrast and complement weach other here in this scene.

Vic4.1v3 and PosetteV3 seem to have taken a wrong turn on their way to the Nudest Beach in Tiberas, Israel.

How many can create Vicky ?"

Sorry...not relevant how many can "create Vicky".
Most of them aspire to work for VFX companies ILM ,Weta Digital, Dreamworks or Pixar etc.

They want to work on huge, big budget team projects Like Lord of the rings or the Avengers or Avatar

where they use custom rigs that leverage the underlying support structures and custom scripting of their native programs HOUDINI,MAYA , SOFTIMAGE etc.

The ability to create yet another Naked poser chick
( Vicky Alison, aiko etc), is Quite meaningless in those project specific CG/VFX pipelines that those CGsociety aspirants are trying to enter.

The CGI Artist that got the job at ILM what did they do to stand out from the other 500,000 ?

My own thoughts would be it really doesn't matter how ILM decided who to hire, it ain't gonna be me and I ain't even gonna try.

Back to big screaming bazoombas, I don't know any woman that's as well endowed as VIcky, thank God.  I irritates me when I have to dial the breasts back, enough that when I get one dialed in to look like a woman and not a cariacature, that's how I save it so I don't have to go through it again.

Real breasts can be small, medium and large.  Only in CG do they come as deadly weapons.

When Isaid "test", I meant that when pretty people are put out on the street and they ask for help, they get it from strangers more often and with more enthusiasm than if they are plain or ugly. Various experiments of this sort have been replicated endlessly. There may be confounds: perhaps plain people just aren't quite as friendly in their manner of asking for help.

When that confound is removed by using photos and people are asked to do various things for them online and so on, the results are pretty much the same.

Also, when people are shown photos which have previously been rated as attractive, they also rate them as more honest, kinder, more intelligent, even when given no more information than is available by looking at them.

So sometimes people think they are valuing people for their personalities, but they've already decided they like their personality before they ever knew them -- and they had judged them solely on appearance right from the start.

It's an unconscious bias. Humans have many such biases, such as the one that favours youth. I'm not saying it can't be overcome or that everyone has it or has it to the same degree. But I think it's wise not to deny that it exists for the majority of people and that it can have a rather profound effect on people's lives.

Movie stars are so far beyond the main curve. They have numerous other problems such as drug addiction, narcissism, papparazzi problems. They are outliers.

I'm talking about ordinary, but better than average looking people. Other people treat them better and judge them less harshly, even when the only information they have about them is what they look like. Just how it is. In general, people are nicer to nice looking people. They are also nicer to better dressed people.

So while a few people will claim not to judge people by their looks, the vast majority of mankind still does judge people by their looks, and in that environment, it's wise to make yourself as pretty as you can (and to dress as nicely as you can).

In regard to giant breast morphs on various poser figures (which I think is grotesque, but that's just my opinion), I've often noticed that those who utilize such morphs rarely compensate for the mesh UV distortion by scaling down the areola texture. The result is a blurry, hideous mess. Go figure?

I don't think so. Though I do think we make assumptions about the gender of the person based on name and  gender. Until recently, and before I put up an avatar, people assumed I was male.

Well, they judge you for not wearing a suit; you judge them for wearing a suit. I don't see a big difference. Still judging people by what they wear.

My husband is one of the most liberal minded, compassionate, and non-judgmental people I know, and he was raised by hippie farmers on Saltspring Island. But he is required to wear a suit for his job and he wears a military haircut because he doesn't care enough about making a statement with his appearnce to bother growing his hair. No doubt you'd immediately assume he wasn't worth your time, which would be sad, because he wouldn't assume the same about you.

As for pretty girls in strip bars... I thought the ones that made the most were the ones most willing to grind their crotches in people's faces. In other words: the skankiest. The pretty girls probably aren't as willing to do it. Why? Because outside, in the rest of their lives, they don't have to. They're not used to it. The ugly ones have to be skanky all the time to get attention. They're experts. ;)

The gender of my avatar changes from time to time but I don't think I've ever been mistaken for female.  Besides which, I'd probably make the world's worst transvestite.

Suits are items of clothing with no agenda of their own.  It's the person inside makes the difference.  I have - and still do when necessary - worn suits on many occasions, including work.  Didn't make me a different person.  Besides which, a dickhead in a suit is a dickhead, same as a dickhead in a leather jacket is a dickhead.  Clothes, most emphatically, do not make the man.

I haven't  visited an ecdysiast emporium in many years but I don't recall any particular correlation between looks and work ethic. In a job where your income is largely dependent on tips, I don't think the 'I'm too pretty for this' attitude would work out too well. I'm guessing that the average looking girl who comes across as friendly, approachable and easy to talk to is going to go home with more than one who depends on looks alone but I defer to the economists since there is apparently there is quite a body of economic research. I've never been crazy about it. I was most comfortable when I was a B cup. I do pinup art and fetish art, but my girls are in the C range, maybe D range. A lot of pictures I'm seeing now go way, way beyond that into what I call the grotesque. And when I've looked at the galleries here or over at DA, I have to bite my lip and not make a comment about being turned off to someone's image because of the size of the bresticles. Everyone's got their likes and dislikes. My preference is in the medium range.

I am absolutely not disagreeing with this. It's totally true.

All I'm saying is that, out there in the world, when you are dealing with strangers, you will be better treated if you are attractive. And first impressions make a huge difference for a lot of people, even long after you are no longer strangers. Hence we dress up for interviews. Or at least we do if we want the job.

I also think that rebelling against these biases is a completely legitimate way to live, and it definitely takes courage to do it. But I don't blame people who aren't willing to rebel. I believe conformity, just like rebellion, is a legitimate choice as long as it does not advocate or permit unjust or unnecessary violence.

Well, you're right. I shouldn't have used the word "skanky" since it has a lot of negative connotations. Alas, English does not have a huge vocabulary for describing "sexual" behavior that doesn't carry negative meanings. I didn't want to use the word "sexy" because I can't imagine anything about a strip club being remotely sexy. To me, the word "depressing" would be more appropriate. But I get that men must see it differently.

But I doubt that the girls who are "friendliest" really do have a nice attitude or care much for their customers. Surely they are sales people more than anything.

Quote - what happened here?  sam was talking about gnorks and now it's about misogyny.  abusing women is not the answer, it's the problem.

Actually I think a discussion about stereotypical depictions of women's bodies leading to decriptions of misogny is a competely predictable progression. Objectification of the person as a body (and obsession with it) is a major component of sexism.

Movies are entertainment. You pay a little for the movies.

Drugs ,sexual stuff ,alcohol ,gambling etc etc for the most part are adult entertainment.
You pay a lot for adult entertainment. a lot more then money.
From what I've seen most adults are not mature enough for adult entertainment.

I've seen adult entertainment destroy a lot of people.
There where not bad people but the machine can chew you up and spit you out before you know it.

I'm sorry, but I just had to LOL! I've just learned a few new alternative words for my favourite things in the world! Thankyou! I think I'll still call them 'boobs' for the majority of the time though.

I have to agree with what you're saying; there are an enormous amount of enormous-boobed Poser girls out there and it does baffle me. It especially puzzles me when they look absolutely horrible; like something worse than we saw in the first series of The Sims! Most of my girls have modest sized boobs; not to say I don't like big ones, I just prefer a more 'Girl Next Door (4)' look... Little plug for you there, Blackhearted... No, I'm not being paid... Much!

Maybe we should try and flood the community with little-tittied ladies, in an attempt to brainwash the masses into adopting the 'less is more' attitude to their renders... ;)

"Alas, English does not have a huge vocabulary for describing "sexual" behavior that doesn't carry negative meanings."

Maybe 'provocative,' YMMV?

I probably shouldn't say this, but what the heck. Much as I try to sympathize with the feminist cause ... Much as I acknowledge the evils of men toward women, going back to when #1 Guy set up Eve with that apple thing, yada yada. I'm still foggy on why a mostly jocular foray veers into a string theory of everything based on misogny. It may be valid, but it's kinda like grandma falling face first into the mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving dinner - time to hail a cab. Maybe it's just me. Apologies to the guests. Sam, great party. Send me the bill for that lampshade.

Perhaps we could talk about penis size instead? You know, all fun and jocular like.

Somehow I think such a thread would not get much attention. I wonder why? ;)

Of course, I could be wrong. Perhaps it's a subject we're all dying to talk about.

Might not be popular because women don't care about size as much as technique...lol.

Yep. That's why us ugly f**kers have no friends, only pets. and why strip clubs exist.
