the import is improved of poser genesis, however the skin is still all wrong.  eyes look okay but the skin looks like the UV is wrong or something.

even keeping poser textures doesn't help.  The same problem with the skin occurs.

Does this happen with every figure?

As far as I know it only happens with the new DAZ Genesis figures; Victoria 5 and Michael 5. Importing as an OBJ doesn't help either. Vue Tech support have known about the problem for quite a while. I now use DAZ Studio for those charcters.

I have only tested michael 5 and victoria 5 and it happens with them.  I was hoping the new beta would fix it but although the geometry looks far better in vue than it did with the previous version, the texture on genesis look like I showed you in the pic.

Genesis load in Vue11 with V4-texture maps perfect only. At the moment the importer did not support multi UV mapping. But I hope in future. For me no big problem because I have so many Victoria4 maps... Here Genesis with V4 Elite map Poser Shader (sorry for nude)

well I used the mec4d script to convert my M5 to M4 UV map and applied a M4  texture that looked fine in poser, but did not import into vue. I haven't tried V4 texture on V5 yet though.

Okay I used same script to make the genesis figure take V4 textures, and the V4 textures weren't perfect ie you could see a faint line between the forearm and arm etc but the big white patches were gone.

However after Imoprhed her I had clothing poke thru, so I ran the morph follower script and now when the figure renders in vue you get a double figure with one in default position.  although the preview image doesn't have this.

Ah good! I just installed Vue11 Inf this week. Good to know they are working on an update with the Sept 2012 SDK! I need to get into the Beta program....

Masai your textures aren't perfect. look closely at her arms. U can see faint lines where different texture maps meet.

Can someone please try loading a test scene- say "Tea for Two" from Samples 3, then merging a simple scene-say V4 alone-imported and saved as a Vue file. I can't seem to make it work with Vue Inf11 (beta updated). The same works with Vue 9 Infinite.

Oh I think I know why the render turned black. It's because I should have kept poser materials as I did some tooning. I think

I have 56GB of RAM.  I don't know if it helps or not. Perhaps a different video card would help more.

 Thanks Mazak

I did'nt. It comes with the AM Smilodon- it is fiber mesh. It takes hours to render with IDL in Poser-but minutes in Vue.

The trickiest part of this render was scaling and camera positioning.

Ahh fiber mesh hair. A while ago I rendered this Grizzly from Poser with dynamic hair, it took ages for this render. :-/
