Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 10 1:16 pm)
DAZ Customer service has always been top-notch. Lots of problems with their site from time to time, especially on weekends when they like to go home with their families, and their customers tend to order their poser toys to play with for the weekend, but they've always made fixing problems a top priority once they come in.
Well, I guess I have to add my praise too. In spite of all the Broohaha about Tailor (which suggests that it is actually good for something), I bought it and felt that it was woefully flawed - totally useless for what I wanted, in fact. At a time when they were in the middle of sales, surveys, freebie voucher problems, and who-knows-what-else, Reba responded to my email outlining what I saw as Tailor's main faults, and has even offered a refund - even though I'd deleted my order number, and they'll have the extra hassle of digging into their records to find it. (BTW, in saying all this, I freely admit that I seem to be one of the only 3 or 4 people on the planet who doesn't think that Tailor is the bees knees - The purpose of this post isn't to trash Tailor, but to praise Daz for their outstanding customer support.
Morphy, I noted elsewhere that I didn't own or want or need Tailor or clothing modified by it, so there are at least 2 of us. But, back to point.... :) Eric, My browser and the DAZ order system fight to the point where I can't checkout and go to the secure section at all. It has been this way for more than a year. Whether the item is free, upgrade, or new I can't go through checkout. So I call. Quite often I get Reba, sometimes I get Reachel, and once Steve took my order because the ladies were at lunch. They have all been friendly and cheerful and helpful despite having to go through the extra effort of setting up a download page for me. Reba is usually the one who sets me up. You can hear the smile in her voice. I try to email questions the day before calling (just recently it was about an item no longer in their catalog) especially if things are hectic (like near the end of a sale), and her responses have been waiting for me. I've called in orders to other places, but none as friendly. Carolly
Reba and ALL the folk at DAZ have been most helpfull and understanding with issues conserning the store and products purchased there. I once had a $5 voucher that the server only wanted to give me 5cents for?!? The DAZ staff had to try i think about 3 or 4 times before the server would get it right; and then they upped the voucher to $10 just for my troubles! Leather-guy: you mean they got "families"?? With all the work we give them, where do they find the time?!?
Yep, same here. Nothing but good help from DAZ. Once when I drove to downtown Atlanta to buy V2 and some other stuff, the download link didn't work. I went to work to burn a CD of the downloads 'cause I didn't want to do it on my 56k modem. So, I called and explained my dilemma and about being in a hurry...she took care of it in about 6 minutes. Download, CD burned, and back home in good time!
Hauksdttr, I got all checked out and downloaded last night. Reba called me at work today just to make sure all was well. Cudo's again. I did find that if you use the back button from the basket to go surfing again, it locks up but if you go forward from the basket, such as clicking on the store link again and surfing again, it worked. Got 15 items in there and they all downloaded. Oh, and she noticed that I was not at work on time this morning when she called. Guess what I was doing... that's right...... zzzzzzzzzzz's from an all night download. hehehehee (don't tell the boss). Lalverson, yeah, I hope they pay her well. She makes the company. Do you know any other company that gets employee reviews like this on the web? She deserves a bonus for sure. Graykin, good on ya mate. You found a good one.
I can't say enough about DAZ, their customer support, and their products. I'm a Macster, so I don't give a rodent's tushie about Tailor, or some annoying guy's give-aways that were removed from "Freestuff."
The DAZ folks are endlessly generous to this community, and have demonstated repeatedly that they listen and respond.
I don't care if they buy PoserPros, Renderosity or the Brooklyn Bridge. They run a business. For profit. More power to them. If they did it badly, they'd fail and that would be that. Welcome to free enterprise.
Their prices are reasonable and their products are good. Without them, we'd still be morphing the Poser Dork.
So thanks, DAZ. And more success to ya...
To All, Thank you for the kind words about Reba and the DAZ customer service. We are really glad and lucky that Reba works for us. We actually have a package deal with her and her husband Daniel Vest working for us (another great person to work with). We at DAZ have learned long ago that if we do not do our best to take care of our customers and their concerns, we will not be around very long. You are the ones that make our business possible (and fun). Thanks for your support of our company. Sincerely, Dan Farr President DAZ Productions

I've had ongoing problem at home trying to access the site. Seems to be a router problem now I think. (cuz it happens in both of my dual boot operating systems) I sent an email to Reba this evening around 9:30 pm or so hoping that she would address it in the next day or so. Guess what... she responded right away. She extended my vouchers, which I didn't realize were time limited, and gave some advice on the web site. She said DAZ was not down, as did all of you. I tried her suggestions and even reconfigured the router. Got on for a bit then locked up again. I can see any other site, like 'osity, obviously. Will try from work in the morning and hope that DAZ will cut me some slack on the sale (this has been a week long or more problem for me trying to build up the purchase basket without getting kicked out). Point is, she worked with me by email until after 11pm. That lady deserves a high five and she's a tribute to DAZ that she would be around so late and so willing to help. Cudos to Reba and cudos to DAZ to have her.
