Thread: Status Update from DAZ | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Thread: Done with DAZ | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Quote - I know the following statement is fact, because my dog told me.
However, in an Animal Research Laboratory located somewhere in South Wales an undercover agent discovered that sheep were being implanted with a sinister zip.file virus. Yet, again another Daz master plan!! It has been reported that as soon as one of these sheep came into contact with a Daz member the virus would activate automatically and infected spores would be released into the air via the sheep’s backside. The victims would then unknowingly inhale the spores and thus become infected themselves. Victims are completely oblivious to the fact they carry the virus, It only becomes transparent that something is seriously wrong when they try to start-up Daz software……..It crashes, content goes missing and plug-ins will not work, etc, etc. The after effects of the virus are even more terrifying, victims have been known to enter forums and randomly denounce Daz as being incompetent and uncaring……..all, just as the Daz3D company had planned!
I also have solid proof that a large rocket ship [built by Daz3D] will be launched from somewhere in Utah and its destination will be Mars. They intend to colonize the planets spreading chaos and devastation in their wake!!!
If I hear anymore I will be sure to update you guys.
How did your dog find that out? Simply amazing! Though I think he/she should check the reliability of his/her source as my cat informed me that it was cattle, not sheep, being used as the virus carrier.
This is why Daz has never released a Millenium Cow - they don't want to be too obvious in their plans to conquer the universe.
Thread: Looks like DAZ Shut the Forum Down Early... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I know that it will take time for DAZ to iron out the wrinkles now that the new site has gone live but I do wish that there was some was for me to contact Sales - or even DAZ itself - without having to resort to the telephone as I'm half a world away.
It's a bit tricky when you can't contact DAZ to let them know that you can't contact them.

Quote - nope it won't. those involved don't give a fig about anything other than proving their percived enimies wrong. don't matter about rules, consideration for others, etc. they are wrong in my opinion therefore I must prove them wrong and if they won't listen I must attack them! nothing else matters! froth! foam! rant!
it's software and digital data sets. nothing more. not even that important.
but the way some are going, I'd expect them to be using guns and knives before long.
First they will have to decide which side will use the knives and which side will use the guns. Or will using guns mean that knives won't be used anymore?

Quote - > Quote - I am also having this issue. I have found that the files stop downloading at 6.9megs. I've tried EI and Firefox both have the same issue.
I am having the same problem- all of my downloads are completing at about 7MB! Is there a problem at Rendo which is causing this?
I think there must be a problem at Rendo as I have been experiencing this problem also. I first encountered it just after midnight - came back to try again several hours later but the same error is still occurring.

I haven't been having any luck connecting with CP either - tried several different things but the site has stayed gone.

I am currently using a Graphire 4x6 - have been using it for about 5 years and love it - found the small size no real hinderance. However have just bought an Intuous 6x8 as the arthritis in my hands is starting to hinder my fine control.
As was said earlier in this thread - go with Wacom - they may be more costly but they are the best and they are durable if you treat them right.
Thread: Poser is for Perverts? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - The only 'bad name' I know of for Poser stems around a perception that it is 'clip art' work - which is true of a lot of renders. That one came up a lot on the Carrara boards and lists around when Daz bought Eovia.
Even that I would say is not a general perception, but something detractors to 3D claim, and modelers who resent the greater commercial viability of companies like Daz resent.
It also seems to be a frequent topic in the artzone chat. That chat room is a good place to go if you want to learn how much the modelers making the content sold here and at daz dislike the people buying their work. The way they speak of us is often very rude and insulting...
Sounds a bit like biting the hand that feeds you. Without Poser users would they be able to continue to make as much money?

Thread: Is there.... | Forum: Fractals
You can create .obj models of fractals using Fractal Explorer although these are only "terrain" type meshes and a material file isn't generated. It would be similar to using a grayscale image of a fractal in the terrain editor of Bryce. (I'm not sure about how level of detail woulld compare though.) You can also export .dxf models from Visions of Chaos, but I have not yet had the opportunity to view the result in a 3d program. Both programs generate massive files when exporting 3d. Hope that helps :) Brodiss
Thread: arty thoughts...sorta OT | Forum: Bryce
Erosiaart, you said, "I love it when you see pple crowd around my images.. pointing, oohing and aahing" - i believe that if you have people doing that, well it means your work is saying something to them - and that's what art is about IMHO :)
Thread: WAYYY OT, BUT THIS IS SERIOUS | Forum: Bryce
@Gog - not just modern soldiers. my grandfather served on the frontline in WW1 - there was a referendum on bringing in the draft and he and his mates voted 'no' for the same reasons you stated. if someone doesn't believe in what they're doing, how good a job will they do? drafts only flesh out the numbers IMHO
