Seems odd that they would make thier most popular figure to look more like a less popular one. But again I guess (and hope) she can change to whatever we want.
I have noticed on the Daz site they do not have much as far as realistic textures and lighting. They still have that cartoony look on most items. Just my opinion. We will have to see what people can do with new textures etc for this figure. But so far these renders don't come close to some of the more realistic pictures I have seen with V3. (I'm just refering to the very few renders that are shown with the hair.)

I totally agree. I have not worked on my animation figuring I will soon be able to save some of my work as universal poses. Why spend the effort now to find it could have been done better and easier later. I probably will not wait for V4 though. I figure whatever work I do will somehow be compatible with her if she is good.
The other maybe bigger point is that I have not bought any content or utilities. Why buy textures for V3 /m3 if they will be obsolete? Why buy addons for poser 7 when they may be inclued in the program. It seems puppet master for bipeds was all but included. Will other utilities even work with P7? I'm holding off on all these purchases.
How will I like the new P7 characters? should I save for them instead of buying new stuff for my current characters? I am holding off on skinvue 6 until V4 and M4 is out and I can see if I will use them instead of the new poser figures. I have been on a buying freeze for all poser related stuff. I'm sure many others must be as well. It may be good for sales of Poser and V4 but it must be killing the third party vendors.

Yes I did end up getting it. It wasn't what I had thought at first, but it does seem like it will be a great tool/toy.

I don't know anything about modeling. However i know V3 and other poser figures are notoriously difficult to import into other programs. I wonder if with V4 and M4 they will somehow try to make that task easier.

I have trouble resizing the windows. I would think no one would complain if they were easier to resize.
It would also be nice if the controls that are ordinarily under the main pose window were moved up to buttons on a button bar. But of course this is just my opinion. I suppose some people love to have the controls under the pose window. To each thier own.
These are just some wishes for future versions not a big deal. You certainly won't hear me complaining abotu p7 if they implement all these promised features in a stable program.

Ok
Thank you for the responses and the links. I think I have a much better handle on this now.

Thanks for your response. Matchmover then is sort of like a photo backgorund with some 3d elements built in? Is there any type of modelling going on or is it just like the photo backgrounds?
AFter I matchmove the video can I then take different angle with my vue cameras with the scene it creates? Or am I stuck with the angles and movement I used to origially do the matchmoving?
Sorry I'm so dense on this.

Here are some tutorials that I think deal with that issue.

Very nice work. I see you modeled these items. I find it tough to find scenes that can work with small creatures. The textures resolutions are not good enough when you zoom in on small things. Those books, that window and all those props are very nice.
Do you know where I can get some decent props and scenes that allow me to zoom in like that?
Thread: What I would like to see in Poser 7. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I hope they do even more for animation. The more I think of layers the better it sounds. They aslo said they added motions to the runtime which is very nice. Other animation points I would like to see are:
-integrated puppetmaster
-Some sort of physics: Or at least something so things don't go through the floor so easy. or other types of collisions with soft and hard materials possible.
I'm new to Animation and 3d therefore I would like to know what other tools are out there to help animators that Poser might implement in the future.
I would also like to see resizable windows.
Overall I'm very excited about P7. If they can deliver what they said so far in a stable format I will be very very happy. Thumbs up to EF.

Skinvue works fantastic in animations. Thank you for the pointing toward the examples.
BTW you have to take the "www" out of your first link.
