Hi Bernieloehn, First thing I want to say is that I respect your opinion. But to be honest, I don't understand why you are angry. I think to most (all ?) people try to make nice images. Some try to make art, some try to make pictures. Some you will like, some you will dislike. But I don't think that this is a reason to get angry. If you don't like a picture someone made, that tell the person how to make the picture better. And if the person wants to get better and agrees with you, than that is ok. And when the person disagree it is also ok. But the main thing is that people should be allowed to make their own work. If someone only trows some terrain, some trees and a nude into a picture and that is it ... ok, that that is it. If that person likes it (side remark ... I don't mean adult oriented material ... I think this should not be posted in renderosity, because there are other means to show that) then that is as it is. Try to point out the problems in a picture, but keep in mind that most people here (I presume) are only hobbiests (and some are very very good :) ) and they try to make nice images and even try to get better (I know I am) so I don't see why anyone should get angry. I think that the main reason I like Vue is that I can concentrate on make nice pictures that I like. I am glad when other people like my pictures also and I put some time into it the pictures. But it is still a hobby and when I think a picture is finished and I like it ... then I am a happy man :). And it is ok for everyone to tell me that it can be improved (because I like to learn). But "complaining" about pictures alone is not a way to make it better (IMHO). Sorry for the long reply, Bye, Angelo ps. The URL points to my pictures. No real site yet, but hopefully that will change (soon).

Thread: Dumb question re: renaming Poser.exe | Forum: Vue
Hi Dawn, It is as Agiel says. Your windows ME is configured to NOT show the file extentions. The filename of the program is not really poser, but poser.exe. But windows is instructed to not show the .exe extention. If you have a problem with importing Poser pz3 files, i.e. that Vue 4 keeps asking you where poser.exe is located (in your case you must select poser) and doesn't start with the import, then you need to rename poser. This will solve the problem of Vue keeping asking for poser. There are now two options. Deselect the option of 'don't show extentions' and then rename poser.exe (because then the extention will be shown) to poser.exe or rename poser to poser (but I am not sure what happens then. Maybe Windows will rename it to something without extention, if that is the case, rename it to poser.exe). There is not much what can go wrong, but make a copy of the file first, just to be sure. (sorry for the long explanation, but english not my native language and I try to be as clear as possible in the case). Bye, Angelo
Thread: A new picture | Forum: Vue
Thanks for all the nice comments. I am glad people like the scene. And you are right, tradivoro ... it is a pterodactyl. Which is included with Vue d'esprit 4. I am so glad I bought it. I was impressed by the demo of Vue 3.1, but I like Vue 4 even more. The whole package. The old features, the new features, the included models. So nice. Just like the community. Thanks, Angelo

Hi Chris, This is a very funny picture. I like it :). Only one very small remark (if you don't mind). The 2 bottles on the ground, it looks like these bottles are floating. Was this what you wanted ? Of not, you can position then a little bit lower, so that a small part of the bottle is below the ground ... then it looks like the bottle is lying on the ground. This is just a very small thing ... for the rest this picture is so funny and cool. Keep up the great work ... Bye, Angelo

Thread: Vue 4 Poser Importer | Forum: Vue
The poser import works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. At least I have a model which crashes Vue 4 (and worked, when saved as an obj, in poser without a problem in Vue 3.1 demo). Even when trying to import it as an obj file it gives an error. I emailed support and they confirmed that there is a problem when importing the model as een obj (there where UV and non UV mapped portions) and they fix it in an update. E-on is looking into the problem with the poser file. And there was also some problem with loading of BUM files. So it is not yet working as it should, but e-on is working on it. Hopefully they find the problem soon and send out a patch. But there are enough model which work, and there is a lot of new things to figure out in Vue 4, so there is enough other things to do :). Bye, Angelo
Thread: My first ever Vue3 pic! | Forum: Vue
Hi Joe, I did the same thing. Playing with the 3.1 demo for preparation and then when receiving Vue 4, starting to use that one. But I got Vue 4 the day after I created my first picture. It would have been a very long wait (1 or 2 weeks). I am so glad that it arrived in less then a week (normal postage in Europe). It is wonderful. About your picture. It looks nice. A lightbeam out of the saucer would be even nicer (IMHO), but it is a good start. Bye, Angelo
Thread: My first image updated with a caustic effect (after a suggestion) | Forum: Vue
Thanks for the suggestions. I will see if I can include some more background scenery and see what it will add to the picture. And I don't know if the shadows are incorrect. They are rendered by VUE 4 ;). The underwater scene was done just like it was discribed in the user guide. Maybe I will play around with the options and see what happens :). And I like the way the tail is bend. Maybe you are right that it is a bit steep but IMHO it adds to the picture.

Yes, you are right. That would make better effect. Something for a future image :). Btw. I forgot to mention that the hair used was made by Kozaburo, who has lots of wonderfull poser hair.
Thread: My first image with Vue 4 | Forum: Vue
Hi Jesper Glad you like it ;). The render quality is ultra, but the grainy background is (I think) because of the blur on the main camera and (maybe) the fact that the image is converted to a JPEG (with maybe some loss in quality). I am not sure, but I like the effect. The idea was to get a underwater feel and I think it worked (IMHO). Angelo
