I finally do see the meshes. They were so tiny in the trailer, hardly noticeable. I Know for 100% fact that the models that were converted to the Poser Dork and Posette were available from Viewpoint before POser 3 existed. Although I cannot prove it. They look exactly the same. They were 3ds format but were also available in a few other formats. So again. These models do not have to necessarily come from Poser.

Or probably bought the character that has nothing to do with poser since the models existed before poser and are freely purchased sans Poser. Upload the frame then. I looked yet again and there is no 3D in the clips

How clear can it be? Well maybe it wasn't enough. Your charcter is in the default scene Color the background chromokey green. Color the ground plane chromokey green. Render your AVI. Create a background scene if you want. LIke a room or something Render that as a still image. Import the still and the AVI into any video editing app. PUt the still in video track one and adjust the length of the still from one frame to the total length of the avi. import the AVI and load it into a video track about videotrack 1. Since it has a solid green background you can chromokey out the green to expose the background image clip underneath. AS your character walks its shadow will be visible through the chromokey. Thereby appearing as though the final output is actually a single render.

IN that case you will have to render to green screen each group of characters render and then composite in a video app. the green screen will allow for shadows so you can then see the character shadows on the background image. Assuminng that you do not have a full scene. COlor the ground the exact same color as the background. Use intense green.

That should be fine. Realize however that you will want to render the first clip as an uncompressed AVI or sequentail stills. Import that clip as a braground and then render your or charctares moving around.

Well there is no Poser or 3D in the teaser Trailer Nor is there any 3D or Poser3D in the Theatrical Trailer that I can see. You must have been drinking too much. Plus the default chacters in Poser are not Specifically Poser in the first place. Posette and the Poser Dork existed before Poser did. They were 3ds models used in many other apps.

CacheForce models are really awful. They had an "adult" CD also. I told them that thier human models were pretty bad compared to the POser 3 or 4 defaults

Not by the creator and those that worked on the software. THat I have read and been told anyway. There is an old thread where a former employee gave the history of Poser and he never mentioned it was to creat figures for use in other programs. Eithere way thats reall all Poser is good for even now.

Well, regarding Posers's history the purpose that xantor mentioned was...well...never mentioned. All of those Quiznos commercial are pretty awful. Actually the singing burritos one was at least curiously interesting. The others were pretty awful. Quiznos really needs a new marketing firm. I am sure that a highly skilled individual could make poser animations look just as good as most other pro animations. All be it requiring 200% more effort. Its overall design is very poor. I think alot of people use it to create characters for use in other programs. Wether thats what Posers intent was in the first place or not.

fido13, That video link you posted. Definatley better than the video mentioned by CL. Visually. Musicly it worse. Infact its pretty bad. The character animation it it, while better than the other still was lacking though. Could I do better? I hope so but probably not.

ANYTHING that you render while using ANY of the Poser default and DAZ etras can be used commercially, NOt actual data. JUst the renders.

Trouble iss. Copyright owners like Disney or Paramount don't even want Fan sites because they usually do not request permission to use/create images. Perhaps you should na,e your characters Milo and Titch LOL.

Nothing in animating is perfect. AS much as I wish it would be. YOu will have to re-keyframe the parts of your motions you do not like by hand. Crtowd generator eh? Sounds like first you render a few differnt marching animations as a 32 bit still sequence anim. Then the crowd generator takes the image sequence and randomly places them over X number of sprites. IS that how it works?

Yes the blue/green screne way is the right way. I cannot remeber which of the two handles shadows nicely for compositing though. I think its its green screen. Anyway your only other option is to use Adobe After Effects. It has a sort of "shadow catcther" thing if I recall where shadows are created based on the videos alpha channel.

REad the manual. Its pretty straight foward
