yeah, nruddock, you've caught me bullshitting! blame me for giving superficial answers...1:0 for you;) pls let me try again, ok? hey, jquin3, you still here? look, nruddock is absolutely right! you can remove polys without loosing the mapping, which means, depending on the tools you have at hand, some additional effort. free uv-mapper and poser grouping tool can help. if your work relies on anim8tor only, forget it! most likely the v-neck would look like a shark's jaw in any way. but if your intention is to cut through the mesh (as i understand), that's where the shit hits the fan. even then you can keep the majority of the uv-mapping. but you'd have to map those new polys seperately and stitch them into the original uv-map one by one and that manually (50 polys, a hundred perhaps?). so, unless you work on a very well-payed project, i suggest you "just pull down the front of the dress little by little with 3 or 4 identical mags, each (mag zone) a bit smaller than the previous, and spawn a new morph." er, and you should apply a simple texture because of the resulting distortions. @nruddock that's better, right?;) @markschum well, that would make sense, hehe! @jquin3 as diolma said: change the mesh and you'll inevitably loose the uv-mapping. why don't you just pull down the front of the dress little by little with 3 or 4 identical mags, each (mag zone) a bit smaller than the previous, and spawn a new morph? @randym77 OT. i can't help it, it seems to me as if i'd miss a nasty joke. who in god's creation is voldemort? @Angelouscuitry export just the figure. for this i would check the "include existing groups"-option only. if you are in doubt, let poser do the job. select the figure, open the grouping tool, create a new group (no matter which bodypart), delete this new group. in theory the geometry is unchanged, but when you save the figure to librariesfigures poser will write a new *.obj next to the cr2. quite useful sometimes. @ haloedrain but this object file is unmorphed, so you cannot use this (latter) method for what you need. yep, the export thing! why are you worried about joints and stuff? just name that thing as blablaX.obj instead of blabla.obj and change that name in your cr2 accordingly (text-editor...don't forget: 2 times!). save the cr2 under a different name as well. let's say, 20 clicks all in all - you won't get it cheaper;) A.

Quote: "I would also like to know if it is possible to in essence freeze the morph target--it doesn't really need to be a morph, I want it set at 1 always. I figured I could set upper and lower limits to one, but it would make more sense to just get rid of the dial entirely but keep the change the magnet made. Does that make sense?" load the obj, apply the magnet(-s) to the obj, save the obj. thats how i'd do it. A.
