Thread: Question about rendering -- probably very basic....but...... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hrrmm, would it be correct to assume that you do not have your Poser Manual guys, and are maybe practising on that version of Poser 3 that sort of got put out to the net till you can save for the full version? And so have not had any real opportunity to read the documentation or work the tutorials perhaps... In this case, though it will pain you to do so no doubt, I suggest going out and buying the "over the counter" Poser 3 Handbook by Shams Mortimer. Wretched art in it, but it does teach excellent technique. So enough of my rants for one day. Im gonna go back to being a nice putty tat now (been sick and my tummy hurts, I am sorry). 1) Are you "rendering" to a new window, or just hitting "render" and rendering to the same window you "work" in? If you are rendering to a new window (this can be setup by choosing Render-->Render Options. Then click "New Window" and "Antialiased", then click the "Render Now" button. 2) Now once it has finished rendering your picture, if you wish to save that, click "Save-->Save As-->and choose a file name and directory, and there you are! Hope that helps! Graphic programs are cryptic on purpose you know, to FORCE you to purchase the program so you get the documents ;P

He comes here to find Hulk Hogan (someone please make one?) and Stonecold Steve Austin (please make him too?) and Batman, and Spiderman, and Musclemen to make his own characters with. Catgirl, armor, swords, BIGGGG Guns... and he is AFRAID of gay people at his age still... You see Chrisa, you have no clue what people here are like really. Or what secrets or fears each of them may harbour. His father molested him and burned him, and told him if he did not stop wetting the bed, his penis would shrivel up and he would cut it off. What thoughts would he think if he came on here tonight hoping to get cool claws for his Wolverine? Or maybe hoping that someone had at last posted WWF Wrestling Superheroes? Your work is technically beyond compare, with perhaps only Thorne doing as well. I said that before. I wish to god I had your talent. I am so very glad though I do not have your fears and insecurities over transexuality. And your need to thrust issues onto others, who ONLY asked you to move it.

And one more thought. It is NOT nudity. That is not the issue. I had nude models in my art classes at the age of 15. It is things that may sexually confuse or scare a child. That is all.

Well, I already sent this in response to Chrisa's rather erm... lacking in understanding email, but I am going to quote it here. I would like to say, I am one of the LOUDEST and most outspoke for the right of our female models to have genitalia included by Zygote. I occasionally visit Renderotica, and enjoy sensual art as much as anyone. However, I am a mother of a son who is at a vulnerable age where sexual identity is only now forming, where he needs to learn NORMAL things before he gets too far down the road of out of the ordinary things. Here without further ado is the quoted email from Chrisa and my response to it. If I sound irate, I am a wee bit. The email is unecessary and feels like taking my request the image be removed to the realms of harrassment. > If I showed her changing to a frog would you object? If it was scary to minors, yes. > > If I had her tied to a stake bare naked bein menaced by god knows what > would you object? Yes I would, again that belongs in the adult forum. > > In that pic I am approaching an issue which causes distress to some... > and that I can understand. However there is nothing porngraphic about > the pic or the text. I honestly belive that it is not out of place. I object to you airing this on a forum where my child visits. Do you get it? He is not old enough to understand this or your feelings.

Thread: Help Needed Please? UVMapper, CR2 Editor and these blasted pants. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
What I did was to export the morphed and working pants with NO name changes at all, to a new object, originally named Hpants.obj. I then opened it up in UV mapper and did a new UV Map for it. I then dropped BOTH new obj and uv map into the poser4 clothes/slacks folder, where the original womens slacks live. I then took my morphed pants on the old obj and saved them as a custom figure to the character library. I then opened that CR2 up with the CR2 Editor and first attempted to change it's reference to the blwslacks.obj to point instead to Hpants.obj. See, there WAS a capital letter in it, but in the NAME of the object. Ok, this appeared to work just dandy, except the pants are now invisible. Next I backed up my blwslacks.obj and opened it up in UVMapper and tried to import an export of the UV map off the Hpants.obj with it's new map. No go, rude message and all. So... heavy sigh I am about resigned to just the fact it uses the old UV map and stretches cloth or any obvious pattern to hell and back across the knees :( I have put in so much time on them, with so many versions now to try to even get the pants to morph to the right shape and still bend at the correct places for the joints, that I'm close to just giving up and putting up the pants as is, since one CAN use non-obvious fabrics set to lots of transparency and get some use out of them perhaps, but not useful really for opacity or obvious patterns in the maps. I know it can be done, somehow others are managing to remap things with new maps. I just can't figure out how myself. I wish there were a tutorial up, like say how Traveler and Company managed to remap Eve to use regular maps... that was similar I am sure. Thanks all, for all of your help. It is late again, and I am rather exhausted with it, another weekend has passed (my only time to really do any creative materials of my own) and still I do not have these pants finished so I can post them to the forum. sigh No luck on that. I tried changing the name of the obj file to all lower case, and then redoing the cr2 editor file so it is lower case too, but the pants are still "invisible" though they ARE there, and one can even move them about, causing the belt which is visible to move about as well. It is to be noted I did not try to remap the belt prop. Anyone who can help out, I would appreciate it so.
