So a few open instances of Photoshop and Matmatic (is there a photoshop version now?) are all you need to model clothes???  In the context of the original posters question, your post was just as useful as mine here!!! 

And to add something in line with the original question, I started my 3D experience with Truespace way back in early 90's...  it was really easy to start modelling in.  I've since moved to MAX but my level of skill is 100% box modelling so I've never tried clothes or anything organic.  A program that does nurbs or even metaballs can be good to start out it as it allows you to sort of sculpt your model from primative shapes and meld them all together to make (hopefully) what you envisioned.

***SSS is not the issue if we're talking about the surface bumpiness. You want to work with the bump channel.

***That was the point I was trying to make that SSS was not what DarkePhazeGraphiX should be going for and more for the bumps and other great stuff face_off and BB are doing with the shader nodes!! 

Best thing is read up at BB's Node Cult or purchase whichever of face_off's realism scripts suit the meshes you use!!

I don't think uninstalling/reinstalling would do anything...  if it installed wrong you probably would have gotten an error message from the daz installer when installing...

I think you do need to add the head morphs you want...  I always just add all morphs and have a bloated cr2 that I save in the Daz People folder.....
