I'm starting to drool over what I'm doing to buy :)

Lyne, I'm using IE7, and your text is huge. Kind of refreshing, actually.

The font looks fine to me.

Oh, duh. I found a workaround, though. It works now.
Thanks.

I didn't realize that the change was doing to change the site so drastic. I thought that the backgrounds and everything would stay the same, but, wow, I wasn't expecting this! I've never seen a site with anything like this new design. I guess that I'll just have to get used to it.
One more thing. I still see the old Renderosity banner. I assume that will change pretty soon.

I like the lamp, too. But you probably need a higher color value on the cabinet and bookshelf.

Thanks for the tip. Actually, I figured it out right after posting this thread. However, I still had trouble because the "popup" menu disappeared too quickly, and I didn't see it.

Thread: Rotation Limits Tutorial.. | Forum: Blender
Okay, thanks. I kind of knew about armatures before, but I wasn't sure.

Could you "remind" me about what armatures are? Not that I want to look like a total idiot, but....

Quote - 6-What is a "sss?" I read about them but no clue what they are.
7-How do you make Wax or Sken Materials look like they should? oodmb, done it before, but I can't figure it out.
#6 & #7 are about the same. See, SSS stands for Sub Surface Scattering, which causes the "light waves" to spread out with in the material, which can lead to "a softer appearance." This is used for skin, milk, and silk materials, as well as other things.
As for the cloth simulations, there's some good links at this thread: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2702958.

Oooh, swweeeett! Nice of you to put these together. It isn't just anyone that can master simulations (unless they follow your tutorials). Great work! (on the picture, too).

Good modeling, but it could benefit from a few area lights and maybe a hemi light. It's funny because that happens a lot to me, too.

Thread: Ubuntu?????? | Forum: Blender
Okay, thanks for clearing up the confusion. I'm a pure Windows user, so I didn't get that at all.

Thread: Ubuntu?????? | Forum: Blender
I looked at the thread, but I'm not sure what I'm looking at. It's for something called Ubuntu, which has no apparent connection to Blender (the program that this forum centers on). It says that it's open-source, but you also have to pay for it. That's a contradiction in terms.
Oh well. I won't be able to use it, anyway, because it's for Linux.
