Ive just downloaded the update and Im curious if it will import my Poser 5 files correctly... Ive been waiting since ages for that - Ive got the Poser 5 update here since many month and I had nearly regret it, because I couldnt import Poser 5 figures into Vue... I used Poser 4 more than 5 since I have it - But it seems this could change that... ;-)

Thread: 2 suns | Forum: Vue
Hm,, Ive worked with 2 suns sometimes, when I needed some extra light (But at least 1 was not visible in the pic...). You can copy the sun in your object browser like every other object, I think I did it with + and then +. Worked for me and if you do animation it can be better than a point light. Greetings -Stefan

Some nice, clean Pictures - some of a true artists vision... What do you want more, we all started like this, my first renders looked much worse... (And maybe they still do today, hehe) - Never give up, its just the practice ;-) -Stefan

Hmm, I think I will apply this patch as soon as the 9 megs are downloaded. Hey Im still on 56K (I Know, Im sorry for myself...). Dont have many mixed mats, so I hope it wont "blow" my current scene... Anyhow, Im curious on the c4d exports...

Thank you all very much! Thats very kind from all of you, taking your time and helping me with my scene. Some of your tips have already helped me a lot. I cannot try out everything at once, but Im sure some of you will notice the improvement in the upcoming pictures from me. Again: Thanks for your comments and tips, every single one of you has helped me a bit! Thanks for being there! Stefan

Thread: NEW THEME FOR THE JULY CHALLENGE | Forum: Vue
Good idea! This keeps people like me from flooding the contest with too many pics. I like the idea of having only one chance. That makes it quite more interesting. Dont know if the anonymous option is that important, anyhow: if I see a pic and cant get my mouth closed its surely from gebe, hehe, I wont miss your heavy detailed perfect-like style in any of your pics... However: The new rules make the contest more interesting, good idea!

Thread: How do I bring a poser model into Vue D? | Forum: Vue
Yes, make sure, to load the .pz3. Oh and by the way, of course you need to have the poser application installed on your machine, you cant just download an object and import without having poser.

Thread: May challenge is closed - Voting begins. | Forum: Vue
This is really hard to decide. All works look good, there is no one I really dont like. My vote goes to pmermino, because he showed me that what good lighting can do.

Thread: Vue and 3D Max - Desperately seeking help... | Forum: Vue
Hi Folks! Thanks to you all for your kind tips. What really helped me was the posting of smallspace. I exported my whole scene as a ASE, checking nearly everything but animation data. The I used Deep exploration for converting the whole thing into 3ds. Now I got my whole scene in vue, it worked fine besides some textures missing. But if you ungroup the object you can easily re-apply your old textures. Thanks for this tip!!!!! Stefan ;-)

Thread: Where fairies fly (has some Plant Studio flowers) | Forum: Vue
Thats really something to look at. I think the flowers look beatiful even without remapped textures. But that surely is a good idea to try out. Maybe Ill make some textures myself from some flower pics. You get some really nice closeups at google.coms picture search - I bet I can do some nice leaves from some of them. Stefan

Thread: May Challenge - My entry (This time its serious) | Forum: Vue
@NightVoice: Yup, youre absolutely right! The Pic is so big, if you dont scroll to the right, you cant even see the explosion. Good resolution for a Wallpaper, but for contests its crap! Next Pics I post will be smaller. 640x480 or 800x600? Or something unusual (for a screen res)? Hmmm, maybe I should have a look at the other contestants. Anyhow: thanks for the tip, sounds like Im kinda silly, but I scrolled a lot, too and found it lame. Why didnt I come to that idea myself? Maybe Ill have another look at my first contest pic, hehe... :-Q

Damn, do I like these explosions! The building reminds me somehow of an old playstation game, but I think it fits good into the scene. Good job!
