Joe, Thanks for the kind words regarding Jungle Dude. In order for you to use him, you'll need Apollo Maximus (of course) and the Cole for Apollo Maximus body and face morphs by Capsces. Once you've purchased both of those items, then download my free JungleDude (and Jungorilla) pose files. Apply the Jungle Dude pose to AM/Cole and you'll get the figure seen above. Here's the link to the JungleToons morph pose files...http://homepage.mac.com/leemoon/JungleToonsByLeeMoon.zip
You can find Cole over at ContentParadise along with AM.
Thanks again!
Lee

Thread: Beta Testers Needed for Apollo Maximus Freebies | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Hi Jim, I can hardly wait for your newest set of freebies to arrive!! :) While I am a Mac user with P4, P5 and P6, I fear that I wouldn't have enough time to do much beta testing. If no one steps up, I'd be happy to give it a go. Thanks so much for all that you give to the Poser community. You are truly appreciated! Lee

Thank you so much! I've been hoping this would become available for the Mac version of Poser. Everything runs perfectly with Poser 6 (without the upcoming SR1). Thank you again for the fantastic product!! :) Lee

You may also want to try Boopsie from Capsces. Just like Beth's other morph packages, this one adds wonderful versatility to The Girl. There are several male morphs included. You can find Boopsie at the DAZ store and also in their forums. Lee

Not sure if this will help or not... This is what I do to generate my DOF renders. What it doesn't do is show you the DOF range. It only shows the focal plane (which is still extremely helpful.) Anyway, go to the address in this message and download the PDF file showing what I'm doing. Perhaps someone can come up with some other visual markers showing the close and far DOF range. Here's the PDF address:

Hope this is of benefit. :)

Thread: Mike 2 Morph Clothing Question HELP PLEASE!!!(Poaser 5) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi there XPimp20... I recently purchased the Michael 2 Bundle from DAZ. It included both of the clothing packs AND the Morphing Clothing Pack (ps_mr009). The Morphing Clothing Pack adds the Michael 2 morphs into the clothes. Take a peek at DAZ and search the store for "ps_mr009" and you'll find what you're looking for.

Hi there Antonia! You (or I) have great timing. I just put together a mini-tutorial/how-to on doing just what you want. You can scoot right over to the "Poser Python Scripting" forum and look for the "Restarted Wish List" thread. I explain my method at the very end of that discussion (as of 5/17/04.) I've also created a small .pdf file with a few screen captures with the same information in it. I'd be happy to send it your way if you want. Just send me a message here on Renderosity with your email address. Note that I'm using a Mac, but I believe the .pdf file will be readable on a PC without any problems. As a side note, there is a Python script which calculates the distance between the camera and whatever object/figure/prop/etc. is selected at the moment. This comes with Poser 5 for Mac, but if it doesn't come already loaded for the PC version, someone here can most certainly point you in the right direction. The method I came up with this weekend involves parenting a transparent plane parallel to the camera viewing plane. Moving that plane along its z-axis will tell you what the focal length is AND graphically show you where the focus plane will be. I'm trying to think up a way to show where the Near Focus and Far Focus planes can be displayed as well. Still, just having the Focal Plane visible is a tremendous help when setting up DOF renders. I hope this all helps! :) Lee

It's me again. :)
Thanks for the pointer to Stefan's DOF/P5 tutorial. That was the first place I went when I started experimenting with DOF. He did a good job of explaining it.
Now that I've been thinking about my request for a DOF script, it hit me that what I really want is a way to figure out what value to put into the F-Stop field in the Render Options panel. Finding the Focal Distance is trivial thanks to the existing script(s). It would be nice to see a graphical representation of the Focus Plane (perfect focus plane), the Near Focus Plane (everything between this plane and the camera is fuzzy) and the Far Focus Plane (everything behind this plane is fuzzy). I'm not sure if knowing the Focal Distance and the camera's Focal value are sufficient to calculate the F-Stop to achieve clear focus within the bounding box of the Near and Far Focal Planes.
Oh, since I've been toying with all of this today, I've got a "no script required" method of deriving the Focal Distance directly within Poser. This method seems to work fine so far, but I've only used it in a few test renders.
Here's the method:
Sorry about the long post. I hope this inspires or helps someone! :)

Don't know if this is possible/worthwhile...
I've just bought the P5 upgrade for Mac and it has this nifty script to calculate the distance from camera to object. So, when doing DOF renders it gets me most of the way to setting things up properly. What I'd like to suggest is:
A script that will generate the camera to obj distance and also calculate the "in focus" range based on the other camera settings. Apply those calculations to 2 simple planes (which are parallel to the camera plane) marking each side of the "in focus" range. This would provide visual markers for the focal zone so you can clearly view what will be in/out of focus before rendering.
Don't know if it can be done - or even if anyone else wants to see it (LOL!)
Thanks everyone!

I haven't downloaded the one from 3D Gladiators and don't know if it's the same one you already have. Try their files section under Star Wars... http://www.3dgladiators.com/ Hope you find Vader! :) Lee
