Hi Try mitch's site he has some realy wonderful creature models as well as a scuba diver or too + a very impressive mini sub. Daz3d also has a scuba outfit for both vicki and mike but I don't have either so cant tell you what they are like. I can't praise mitch too much the only problem I have, and it's mine not his is that I can't speak German so I can't tell him my self :-( have fun Dave
Thread: Confused semi-but not quite newbie | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi first off I couldn't get that ... clown to fall in the right place either (lol) what are you using for hair? I think most people give up on the hair that comes with poser try going to http://digitalbabes2.com/ and check out some of Koz's hair, some of them come with morphs for hairlength etc. The other thing, and i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong I think what you have to do is cloth the figure in its default position and use (conform to) from the menu bar to attach to the figure you may have to use the scale dials for the item to tweak the fit a little though. one other thing I have found when posing the figure I find it best to use the dials rather than the tools, they do still have their uses though! The other biggie is at the top of this page there is a link for tutorials go through them and see what they tell you they are all written by some very knowledgeable folks sometimes with years of experience in various packages and techniques. well I hope this helps and hope the head and desk get better soon! Dave
Thread: need some backdrops | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi this is a copy of IM but others may find it useful..... for background try RNDA'a Cyclodrop do a search on their site for it they also do extra backgrounds/textures and judith also has some sea plants there which may give you some ideas of how to create your own a quick alternative is use a jpg of for instance a jungle in poser as a background use the import the backgrountex option from the file menu.. http://www.toucan.co.jp/indexE.htm http://www.planit3d.com/index.htm and also try Http://www.kurtz-fernhout.com (or do web search for plantstudio)for a great program for making your own realistic plants it's also now free! anyway let me know how you get on Dave

Thread: Poser 5 & AOL 7+ Internet Explorer 5.5 = no internet? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Sorry if this sounds negative but I had some pretty bad problems with AOL 7 overwriting stuff and causing crashes to my software not the os.(I also know several people who have had the same problems). The solution well I quite politly, not, told aol that if they could provide me with straight internet access(I.e. using the IE6 browser without their ...... browser) I would carry on using them otherwise get lost! Software btw where you get unsolicited messages from bored hosewives who suggest you are having carnel relations with your pets!! so much for security! It took me 4 months to remove all of the bits of their browser it was all over the show. Soo. perhaps one of these 'bits' on your system may be causing the problem. just my opinion Dave

Thread: Almost finished but any suggestions welcome | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Thanks for the heads up Mateo. I actualy figured as much, my father kept tropical freshwater fish for years and won many prizes. But I'm a bit short on diferent fish specimens, the ones I found at toucan's site to my mind were either too modern i.e tuna etc or too small to be enlarged such as the goldfish and tetras etc. So I picked the 'oddest' looking fish I could for the plesiosaur to hunt. As always though I would appreciate any information where I could get more accurate models. ernyoka1 thanks for the link I might get round to trying to model an Ichthyosaur one of these days what i'd like, hint hint.. is an amonite of nautilid, possibly a conversion of mitch's shell (I don't have the skills yet to produce spines webs and tenticles yet. thanks everyone Dave
