it's crude Posterise was just an experiment... the best way to get colour photo into Grey is go to, image mode LAB delete the +a +b channels and Use the lighness one only.. covert into "greayscale" If you want colour this is.. I suppose you might want to take it to RGB. mode

2: 3d program did it the wire frame seems to have changes colur quite easy to get weire fram when you have a 3d application, such is life for the 2-d photoshop. you may not want to have such a complex time with a pen tool. fun fun-with layer mask shapes underneath your photo's easy as pie.. a rectangle with rounded edges fill white with effects such as stroke will be fine... and mask your photo on a new layer.. get what you want from it.. no examples today.. researching "firewall" for a 'win 2000 sever' BORING hehehe

the red layer is only in the " mask mode just click on the normal mode to exit quick mask , plus when you copy the image inot the mode you automatily get the right selction, ( i think pasting the black white into the quick mask will work ) then "delete the area"" you may have to stich from normal to quick mask and back just to get agrasp on what things you ar effecting on the layer..tip hide a layer you are not working on just so you can watch what happens to it. hehehe

A black and white photo hey, maybe it'a a gray scale.. :P in photshop land bit-map is normaly Only 2 colours black and white (though technically the debate continues wether they are colours or not - any way hehehe we'd like to help if we knew what you wanted... try this image -mode -rgb desaturate posterise (4) new layer (blend mode overlay (or multiply) fill with a colour hehehe red+grey will always make a desaturated colour (well depending on the opacity and blending mode.

any brand that makes film scanner and printers HP is ok cannon is cool too, I've found this wicked brand that scanned film like a drum scanner (out performs flat-beds LOW gamma)when I have 2 grand i'll get it.. hehehe

you might just have to do the opposite of colour correctioon you have increase contrast amd give your photo a cast perhaps by hue and satuartion or a new layer... with an opace blending mmoodee of some sort... perhaps a real nice attempt of adjusting the levels...

a perspective tool? or does that mean transform? clone has been around for quite a while.. but when I get my pen mouse/graphics tablet and get that diploma i'm going to get version 8.. or can I some how up grade the educational verson of 7 to the educational version of 8 real cheap perhaps I should fill out all that paper work that's in an achive box under the stairs and try and figure out the legalities of my hopes to keep up with the latest trends...

you can also apply the multitude of effects to Text and vector shapes... plus there are other layer effects like curves and invert and applying different blending modes makes a rather interesting image... there are little sybols 2 the bottom of the layers pallette try them all have a blast!
