Thread: General Concensus on Tattooed Textures | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
rather than voicing my opinion on tattoos, i'm going to make suggestions for easier building. one - dark whisper's texture converter would allow you to switch back and forth between V3 and V2 textures, which, since they have seams in completely different places, would enable you to take care of edges. two- for "tribal" or plain black tatts, or anything that involves no more than a few colors, i'm betting a vector tool like adobe illustrator, macromedia freehand, or even macromedia fireworks would be much, much, much easier than drawing by hand. bezier curves can take some time to get used to, but once you do, the world's your oyster ;). you can even say get some sort of reference (say for japanese dragons) or make something general with pen and paper, bring it into a vector program, have the program trace the bitmap, and then manipulate anchor points and such to change it or clean it up or whatever.

if this request includes stuff for the mil girls as well (since you mention the kids in general), did you miss the tenten fair? a group of talented japanese modellers made a ton of stuff, including a couple of things i would think could be used for the boys (shoes, etc). the fair is "closed" now, but most of the sites still have the content up. you might check out yagami's site, as well as tositosi's (for the ps happi http://www.diana.dti.ne.jp/~tositosi/flamepage.html).Thread: Please let me know which one you prefer and why | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
no. 4 has the most impact. the others loose the knife and the top of the pic seems to draw the eye most. no. 3 is the best out of the others. you're color blind? wow, then nice use of red.

it's a product actually. dalinise is great at making very real characters.Thread: Soon to be free V3 character and texture - need distribution input | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
if it's not too much trouble, you might offer the pieces and a full set (ala project lara). but only if that wouldn't kill your bandwidth more or be a big annoyance.

though maclean's publicity/fashion shots are probably all you need, you might also try contacting levius (http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.ez?Who=levius). he seems to be able to get tons of reference shots (see attached link). maybe you guys could collaborate?Thread: Response on me deleting my Gallery | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
you got complaints about these pictures? why? it's weird, tons of people do little girl pics in playboy poses, and no one seems to say boo. certainly no one says boo about yanv pics (yet another naked vicky). these all look like kids as they actually are - full of motion and fun. i'm glad you brought this back; i think more people could learn from your gallery.
Thread: Platinum Club at Daz membership change ATTN ANYONE FROM DAZ | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
the price increase is substantial, even without the initial fee (from about $70 to about $90). and if you are a pc member that rarely or never buys in the premium section, then the vouchers don't do squat. and a voucher for $30 is not a refund. that is me still being forced to pay $30 and maybe getting something I wouldn't have bought in the first place in exchange. and basically, after receiving newsletter after newsletter about mimic but no warning about a change in terms of service of the pc, i'm kinda pissed. poserworld has high quality models and textures, costs $50 per year, and has no subsequent fees. runtime dna offers a lot of quality stuff for $2.50 with no membership required. and whether this is still a good deal or not is kind of irrelevant to the fact that they snuck this up on their customers. and frankly, i don't want another monthly fee. i think they should rethink their changes and maybe offer different payment plans rather than forcing people who were willing to pay a yearly fee of $70 on top of the $2 cost per item to pay more and pay monthly.

Here at my work we had this happen to an email address no one mails as (because it was a list), but tons of people mailed to. Basically someone who had our address because they mailed us had Klez.E. I'm not sure where the Klez.E list lives, but that's how it works: takes addresses and puts their info in the From: line. You also start receiving infected emails from people on the list. So, if this is the problem, the only "person" who has stolen your identity is either the program or the person/people who wrote it. Problem is, once it gets out there, others get the virus, and unbeknownst to them, they start to email viruses to other people as you. Even worse (in my opinion) is the flood of virus emails you get because your on the list. After getting deluged for a few months, we "solved" the problem by closing the list. Other than cleaning every user's computer, I'm not sure there's a better solution. Hope enough people are now blocked for this virus that that doesn't happen to you.

um, the only thing i would say about using just black, as a person of color, is as stated above, all those groups name themselves as black. i generally think of myself that way. but i don't look like i come from africa. i don't know about the political connotations of your item, but i think the name should be both catchy and informative. quim2001's Zulu is the sort of really deep chocolate the name implies. dalinise's brown sugar (not daz's) is the sort of medium mix that's common in america. i actually remember a thread where people were posting what they wanted most in a vicky 2 set. almost everybody said more diversity, and one person notably said someone african and not cafe au lait mixed looking because there were already enough out there. this isn't to say that there aren't tons of different looking types of people of color in every nation, on every continent. either way, i think your name should give some sort of indication of the character's style. what niche do you want to appeal to? what makes this character special? is this an average guy/gal or a fantasy/sf type? whatever your intent with building the character, i think the name should match.
